How do you set up a wordpress shop with automated products only related to your niche?

So I have the domain name wtfbuy.com and I want to make a website with it that sells funny and bizarre products. I don't actually want to have inventory or ship anything, I just want to sell things with my affiliate link. Like from Amazon or something. I want it to have similar products (though not exactly the same) as thisiswhyimbroke.com

I guess my question is, how can I set up a wordpress shop that gathers all funny and bizarre products automatically, either from thisiswhyimbroke.com or amazon itself. Or do I have to add each product individually? Any other ideas would be highly appreciated.

Generally speaking, this kind of sites needs to implement an algorithm capable of detecting the "important" products to offer from the whole sea.

Technically speaking there will almost always be a way to do it. So you need to focus on defining, with as much precision as you can, what makes a product a candidate for inclusion at wftbuy.com. The level of detail for selecting the product must be enough for a computer to automate a search. Given you can accomplish that, then it's just to let the machines to scale the whole process.

You can find that my response is a little too abstract but I will need more detailed info on your requirements to be more concrete.

    Best,

Stop thinking "automated." There are a lot of things that the internet allows you to automate that you can't automate offline. But you can't automate EVERYTHING.

When you automate things, you're not engaged with them. When it comes to the setup of the tech stuff, you DON'T want to be engaged there. It's not the best use of your time.

But when it comes to your list and what you're actually selling them, you NEED to be engaged. Build a relationship with your audience. And you can't automate relationships.

You need to find things people will like and buy. Engage in a conversation with your target market and see what they'd like, then go find it. There is no substitute for an actual conversation with your peeps and getting feedback from them.

Hobbyists are usually highly engaged with their hobbies -- and the vendors that provide what they want/need. Same thing goes for funny/bizarre things. Build a relationship with your audience. And you can't automate relationships.

That said, check out Shopify. You can set up a store at Shopify for a low cost.

Ben Adkins recently closed Social Arbitrage Magician which teaches how to sell physical products on Shopify, using eBay and Facebook. But stay tuned to see when he'll re-open it.

Also, you can check out Sandi Krakowski's upcoming "12 Weeks Your Store" program, which teaches you how to set up an online retail store (via Shopify) and make it successful. You can see it at 12 Weeks Your Store - How to: Create & Market Your Own Online Retail Store

If you're looking to set up ANY kind of online retail store, I HIGHLY recommend you check it out.

    Hope that helps!
