Wishlist Member Allow Discount Codes?

Hey guys,

Just about ready to launch a new product and we're in testing phase.

Rather than having people sign up for a free trial and upgrading them to full access... is there an option to give people a discount code which gives them the product for free?

I'm aware that I could just make a free full access membership option - Just wondering if this discount code idea is integrated.

Thanks!

    Hi Daniel,

Wishlist Member doesn't have that option integrated by default, but they did create a bonus plugin to their online community members.

The thing is that right now it is not available for purchase, but maybe you can try to contact them and see if it's possible to purchase it directly from them.

The plugin is called Wishlist Coupon 2.0 and we have a special website dedicated to Wishlist's plugins and extensions so you can find more details about the plugin + a tutorial about the plugin here:

Anyway, if you are using a shopping cart that supports coupons (like InfusionSoft for example, then you can create coupons from within the shopping cart.

    Hope that helps!

It's not cool using an additional plugin to offer discount coupons. Using additional plugins reduce the website speed and use extra memories.

You can create coupons inside the shopping cart itself if it supports coupons of course, like InfusionSoft.

If not, you will need to use Wishlist Coupon.

Extra plugins does not always slow your website it's wrong thinking that way.

In many cases you would better have a slim plugin and add new features via extra plugins only when needed in this way the website owner that does need a specific feature enjoy both worlds.

Either way Wishlist Member is definitely not a slim membership site platform
