Solo ads-Effective Way to Generate Traffic

I have try out following method to generate traffic to my website
a) Article marketing
b) Blogging
c) Buying solo ads

Out of these three methods, solo ads is the most effective and fastest method to get the new subscriber. I buy the solo ads at the price of $0.44 per click and having a opt in rate of approx 48%.

Although has to spend some money, but i think as long as i can find a good solo ads seller with the reasonable charges, i will try use this more to generate traffic to my side.

Where do you buy them from?

Is it from Directory Of Ezines?

    • Hey amuro,

There are plenty of solo ads here on warrior forum. Just search them but
Make sure their testimonials and credibility is in good standing of course.

And then what? Sell solo ads to newbs that want to build a list with clickety-clickers?

and by the way you refer to "Article marketing". That was something that used to work
3 years ago. Did you do your test with solo ads at the same time.

Because: solo ads did work 3 years ago.

      Hi Sir,

I haven't sell any solo ads so far. By the way, you mention that solo ads did work 3 years ago, how about now? Is it still the fastest way of generating traffic?

For article marketing, i think that it is a bit slow in generating traffic to my squeeze page.

      Thanks

Don't worry he won't bother to answer you or give you any real value. At least in all the posts I've seen from him - he just comes in and says "solo ads suck" and leaves... No value, no help... Not exactly the idea of the forum...

Anyways, solo ads do still work!

Solo ads are just like any other traffic source - you have to adjust your marketing to fit the audience to get the best results.

However, most folks just buy a random solo ad from a random seller then send it to their own random funnel and wonder why the results weren't better...

If you take your time and track everything and keep good records you will have success.

For example - when you decide to buy a solo ad - don't just buy from any random person. Also, when you do purchase from them ask to see some of their own squeeze pages so you can see what people were interested in when they joined that person's list.

Doing that one little thing can change the ROI on a solo ad purchase drastically. For example - there is one guy I buy solo ads from that has very good traffic, but his list is interested in blogging. So if I buy a solo ad from him and send it to a list building funnel I will have mediocre results...

However, since I track and test everything I soon realized that this particular solo ad vendor had amazing traffic in regards to "blogging". So when I send his traffic to one of my blogging funnels I always get a very nice ROI which means you are building your list of prospects and buyers for free!

Here is some training that will help...

        Cheers,

I use several link trackers, but one that you might like is ClixTrac - Free Banner Tracking, Link Tracking, Ad Tracking and Click Tracking

If you get their "professional" package you can also track conversions which is a very nice thing to have if you are buying paid traffic.

I usually buy solo ads from may warrior members to test different landing pages.
But when i have good results from an specific page!
I get big packages from my favorite vendor.
The price is $700 for 1000 clicks but the results are 10 times better than 5k clicks from someone selling $0.35/click.

Yes, i agreed Solo Ads is the effective and fastest way to get subscribers. Foe newbies, traffic tracking is the most important thing you need to do which it will decide the effectiveness of the Solo Ads. Once you have a list of GOOD Solo Ads, try to continue to buy from them. But one tips from me is DO NOT repeat buying from the same Solo Ads in short term, i would recommend to buy once 2-3 weeks or even one months.
This is to ensure your clicks is unique and not saturated.

Don't get excited at a high opt in rate.

Generic swipe promising hundreds of dollars a day generally gets people excited
and ready to sign up to just about anything.

Track every stage in your funnel to judge the worth of your solo ad purchase.

Take a look at how many actually downloaded your product.
Watch how many actually open an email you send out.
See exactly how many go on to purchase from you.

You will see the real "value" of your solo ad purchase.

Thanks for all the information appearing here. I have the same problem with solo ads but it never occurred to me to consider where the ad vendors might be getting their list from would have so much bearing on where to send the ads to.

What are the best tools for tracking? bit.ly is ok for finding out where in the world, but surely we need to know where they are coming from ad-wise and how far through the funnel they go.

Is it an off-site tool that provides a redirect or onsite that tracks by IP or similar?

      Regards,

Google, Youtube, Facebook PPC, Solo Ads, Forum traffic, Banner Ads- these are traffic sources that will never let you down. Just be sure to provide valuable content and build relationships with your list once your leads enter your funnel and you won't even need a huge list to make repeat sales! With this said, fresh leads are always needed and the need to grow your list will always be required

I can agree with what you have to say there.

Just keep in mind that it's important your funnel is appropriately setup to get the most out of the solos you invest in.

Create a dummy email address and optin to a bunch of different funnels...

That will give you some good ideas that you can model

(assuming you optin to some of the good funnels, of course)

    Hi,

You can even opt into a solo ad sellers list to get a good idea whether their
lists are a good fit for your offer.

Also if you already have a list of your own you can ask to do a swap with them
first to test your results for FREE.

I recently did a swap with a partner and he is now selling solos too.

So I know that his lists are already interested in what I have to offer,
his traffic was in the TOP TIER bracket too (after tracking my results)
and I already knew he had BUYERS in his lists also.

Getting to know people on a personal level where you help each other
out too is very powerful and can help set up swaps and other things too
before you end up investing money with someone you don't have a clue
about and where they get their traffic from etc.

Great debate going on here guys.

    Great job!
    Gavin

It really comes down to who you're buying solo spots from because maybe 5 years ago solo ads were not popular, but today there is a huge sub-niche of internet marketing that revolves around solos. Just go on safe swaps and you'll see a whole bunch of street-corner hustlers peddling cheap clicks.

Be sure you do some research on the solo ad vendors you're buying from, ask them if you can get customer list traffic, and pay a premium if you know the traffic is quality because it's usually worth it. But ya solo ads are one of the fastest ways to get traffic still.

What are the basic things you should look out for when doing some research on a would-be solo ad vendor? What and what do you think I should
      check?

You need to check if they have any testmonials. Theres so much scamming out in the solo ad world that this is a must for me. If someone has been scammed, people will surely report it so I look for solo ad sellers in Facebook groups such as Solo Ad Testimonials.

Also look for sellers who mail to their own lists with no exit traffic, popups, traffic exchanges, safelists, etc..
Look for at least a 70% Tier 1 traffic rate. Tier 1 traffic is where people who buy the most stuff online comes from and that's the US, UK, AUS, NZ, IE, CAN.

Also, make sure they are unique clicks, not raw, and look at how fast can they deliver and if they will send you a report when the ad is done.

I wrote a blog post on all this at: How to Buy Solo Ads the Right Way

I also recommend that the solo seller has about 70% or more subscribers from tier 1 countries such as U.S, U.K,Canada, Australia,Ireland and New Zealand

One more important and over looked detail when buying solo ads is to make

If they have no squeeze page stay FAR AWAY!
