Replace "signature coming soon............." with your link and you have an excellent source of free source of traffic. Works especially well for the make money online niche.

I agree with HP... You can also search for other forums that are related to your niche. Create an account on those forums. Include a picture or related image. And most important create your signature. And then just provide good quality, useful comments & replies to various posts. Create your own posts and provide high quality useful content and people will want to find out what else you offer by clicking on your signature link(s).

Another favorite source of traffic for me is Youtube videos. You can also try making some Google + Hangouts. You can record those with your web cam. You could contact other experts & leaders in your niche & interview them on a google hangout. The hangout then gets uploaded automatically to your Youtube channel. So be sure to link your google + account to your youtube account.

You can embed the videos on your website and also on free web 2.0 sites like blogger.com, wordpress.com, Tumblr.com, etc. Also link back to your main website on the web 2.0 sites.

Social media is also good for linking to your website & youtube videos. Setup a Facebook fan page, a twitter account, etc.

Facebook groups, especially those geared to clickbanking. I'm testing with Twitter now, I do use my sig here as stated above but that's usually a small amount of traffic in comparison.

At my blog you (hopefully) find top notch content that engages you and builds a relationship.

Solo ads are good but they have their limit.

If you can pick a good provider solo ad can go a long way in building you a responsive list.

Another thing to consider is to build a website for your niche and rank and add your squeeze page on the site for targeted traffic. If you can rank for a stable 9,000 monthly keywords you would be starting on a wet ground.

They already have an active list. If you provide something of value, give them 50% of profits. Win/win

It is one of the ONLY traffic methods I used when just getting started with selling my own products.

Free traffic source are not buyers traffic, most of the people you are going to get are not going to buy anything, as a result you'll spend a lots of time trying to build your list but no good returns for the amount of time you've invested...

Safelist and traffic exchanges have people with very little money so if you're trying to push a product that cost $500 and pays you $250 commissions for the sale, then you'll end up with no sale. Whereas if you have list of buyers say 100 and 5 of them bought the product, you'll bank $1250,so you'd be wise to spend your time on building list with buyers traffic.

That is true but which traffic do convert the best?

As far as I experienced it´s through paid advertising at least there is where I get the most results.

Depends on where those 'free' people are coming from.

Yes if you're using the squeeze page and free bribe method you're going to get low quality subscribers who don't even open your emails obviously they can't buy from you as they never see your offer.

But blog subscribers are some of the highest quality you can get and they aren't buying anything from you to end up on your list.

They absorb your content, opt in because they really like it and want to see more of the same, and then you receive really high open and click rates in most instances.

And these people DO buy from you as you've built a relationship and trust with them.

It depends on your business and niche. Some businesses will find it more effective to use instagram or pintrist while others will use LinkedIn. You have to analyize where your customers are. Are they hanging out on forums,social media, search engines ect....

Based from experience, I would always say a good blog would build free traffic and list in time. That is how I came to have my own list. I always update my content with really good and handy information, I share them online - to social media account and several guest post sites, forums, and other community-based sites. Then I get followers and subscribers. However of course, this will take time and a lot of effort, but it is worth it in the end

For free traffic sources, I generate about 20 - 25 leads/day on average with just doing Safelist Marketing. I use Safelist Genie to simplify the process with costs $29.99/month.

I also generate a large amount of leads from Facebook Group postings.

AdSwaps are another good source as well as quality Solo Ads.

Well I know you asked someone else the question but let me throw out 3 ways Facebook can generate you free leads

- Many Facebook groups allow you to post your advertisements but you need to make your ad stand out for it to work as everyone else is placing ads. I know people will use services/software to auto-post to Facebook groups as well. I haven't used this route except posting in my own groups. I see some home biz groups have memberships of 20,000 - 50,000+ people for example. Sharing your own content such as blog posts or a Facebook page post also can work in these groups & unlike a pure ad - you may get people commenting.

- Start your own Facebook group targeting your niches & you can place your own "pinned post" at the top of the group. I have 2 groups personally & will likely expand. Getting #s of group members started initially is the harder part but once you start getting more people - their friends join & Facebook even suggests groups to people which often includes your group. Many people search for groups to join so make sure you have proper keywords in the name of your group. I know you can add 3 keyword tags in your group but I'm not sure if that helps or not.

- Start your own Facebook page & try to get a balance between content & sales pitches. Shared content will get you post likes & page likes. Of course you can also pay Facebook to help generate page likes or post engagement. (This is something I'm going to start doing but I want to make sure I have time freedom & pages/groups don't control my life).

The best free way for me is Video Marketing because people learn to know you and they can see that you are a real person. That way you can build trust and a relationship it's almost like you talking to them in the same room. Forum marketing works also well for me and not to forget my blog. I either direct my traffic to my squeezepage to build my list (kind of free traffic as well) or to my blog to show them the value.

Advertise in facebook groups, different chat rooms, you can also use your link in signature to build traffic but remember it takes a lot of time . you can also buy traffic , as you said you want it free but buy it from sites like SeoClerks and listingdock, it is just equal to free as you can buy at very low rates. Otherwise you can also use yahoo answers to increase your traffic. Good luck

Many people will point to social media. There is nothing wrong with that.

Personally, I'm not a big Twitter, FaceBook, LinkedIn, etc. person. I'm not saying those sources don't work, they're just not me. I wasn't born in the social media realm. I'm not saying it doesn't work. . .

For free traffic, I say do forum and blog posting (without spamming). Add some valuable content to the post. Don't just say, "Awesome post."

This is undoubtedly the best freebie traffic. We'll talk paid traffic later.

When you use PPC, you can target people who are actually searching for what you may be offering. They are "seeking" information. Same is true with good SEO, but it can take forever and relying on SEO is like building a house on eggshells.

When you use Social Media, or things like PPV, it's interruption marketing. You are hitting people and "interrupting" them hoping to find those wanting your information.

So what kind of list do you want to build?

yes and many people willl you silly for saying PPC is not free.

But yes it is! Let me explain.

If you get a lead and it costs you even $5 for just one lead, but they enter you funnel and you end up making say $6 or as the months go by they make you say $47 dollars, then you are in profit, and you have got this lead for free.

That is how we like to think about it, but you always put that money back into paid ads, and keep the cycle going.

We have run campaings for years like this, and all the while improved funnels and conversiions.

And always reinvest, That way you are getting leads for free and building your list, and is how we worked up to a $10,000 a month business.

Big gurus do not mess around with free traffic, they always used PAID no matter what anyone will tell you, its easy to manage and upscale and you cannot get much more targeted.

Affiliate commissions are only paid when a sale takes place so that is free if you have a product. I would create a good product just for that fact even if I wanted to be an affiliate for other products.

If you get a lead and it costs you even $5 for just one lead, but they enter you funnel and you end up making say $6 or as the months go by they make you say $47 dollars, then you are in profit, and you have got this lead for free.

That is how we like to think about it, but you always put that money back into paid ads, and keep the cycle going.

We have run campaings for years like this, and all the while improved funnels and conversiions.

And always reinvest, That way you are getting leads for free and building your list, and is how we worked up to a $10,000 a month business.

Big gurus do not mess around with free traffic, they always used PAID no matter what anyone will tell you, its easy to manage and upscale and you cannot get much more targeted.

great point! We sometimes lose on teh front end, and we do not care. WHY? cause we have quadruply testing our back ends and funnels and know they convert very highly, so I do not even mind paying $5 dollars a lead, even more like $20 a lead. Might sound crazy but nope.....if you have a backend that converts and as a marketer these days you should, it does not matter how much money you lose on the front end sometimes. :-)

I like forum traffic.

Search for relevant forums in your niche. Make sure the forum has lots of activity and recent posts and replies.

Create a Signature file like mine below, that offers something for free.

Each day for about 1 hour, reply to the most active posts in those forums. Try to add keywords in your replies. Search engines still love forum posts. I see them all the time when I search for things online.

Replies in forums always seem to be in the top 5 results. If you do this for 30-days straight, you should notice Google traffic to your website. Very targeted traffic by the way.

I will add another vote for forum posting.

Also, placing free classified ads (I also pay for some classified ads offline too), YouTube, Facebook, and having a blog and doing SEO on each new blog post for low-competition keywords.

the best i have used are twitter, facebook, youtube, forum signature, blog commenting, classified ads and some other ones, all i did is just to utilise everything i can lay my hands on that are not paid and you can also do the same

This is a timely question based on a coaching program I'm currently in. Here are two methods I sort of scoffed at initially, but upon implementing them, I can say with 100% certainty, they work!

Number one: Create a signature file that links to your blog, for example. Go to relevant forums and post useful responses to questions. Provide quality content. "I agree" is not a helpful post. "Excellent question" is not a helpful post. You've got experience in something. Use it.

Number two: Go to relevant blogs and leave useful comments. For this also, refer to number one above.

I've done both of these, and I can tell you, they DO work. It just takes an investment of some time. These methods won't get you a bajillion visitors overnight, but if you work at them every day, you WILL see results.

Now go and make it happen.

I like to barter. Yeah I said barter. I will get with a top seller and barter my way into his list.

He has something I want, that is his list. I will make him something he wants for his next launch. Then he lets me put my own optin on it and I get my leads.

Other ways to barter but that is one.

Search engines love blogs and it helps you build your brand. Be an authority in your niche. Create traffic by visiting other blogs related to your content and comment to their post. Only link related and helpful url in your comment.

I think the answer to your ask depend mainly on what you can do well so if you can make good videos then the videos sites will be good traffic source for you and if you have writing skills then articles and documents sites and forum and blog posting will be good choice for your traffic source

Press Release is very good. Well, it is not really FREE but it may be the cheapest. Because you only pay once and the traffic will keep coming for months, if not years.

There are lots of methods my friend, but the problem is that, may be the one working for me, may not necessarly work for you. It depends on your offer, approach of marketing, how targetted the traffic is?. You can get free traffic but I urge you to learn email marketing properly before building your list, otherwise your list will burn out.

Regardless of the paid traffic, YouTube and video traffic is one of my favorite traffic methods. People watch your videos; understand about your business and products, which increases and urges the need buying.
