Blog post suggestions

I have a fitness blog Health & Fitness Made SIMPLE | and I want to make it similiar to Melissa Bender Fitness & My Dream Shape! - Diet tips, fitness tools, recipes and workouts to get your dream body. .

But how do can I create content like that for free??!! I mean I want to sell my exercise videos, but why are they giving it away for free?

So, how can I have a post about fitness and not give it away for free? I want to put a workout sheets along with example of how to perform the exercises but, i won't be able to sell afterwards.

Is there away I could have them pay for the exercise videos on my blog? But why would they pay for it, in the first place??? Cause, i learned everything for free!!

You can produce high quality free & paid content. Just with the free content don't give everything away. And if your followers want more info, tutorials, vids & support they can upgrade to your paid membership site or something like that.

Think about different IM squeeze pages and "free" downloads that you can sign up for, both through here and the other places online. You might get an awesome article, but after reading it you realize that it leaves out the key piece of information you're looking for. At the bottom, it has a link that says "click here to find out the real secret why my success works!" and takes you to a subscription page.

I personally hate that kind of thing, but it evidently works because so many people do it. You can also use your site to create an email list with an autoresponder series, and use it to sell more detailed products from your site.

I was implying that perhaps you could operate a membership site with different levels of membership and content access e.g. free, premium/paid, or whatever you want.

There are several membership site software on the market to consider. A couple are ProfitsTheme and OptimizePress.

If you want to sell your videos, you need to first give people a taste of the "paid stuff" and make it look irresistible. If you want to look professional, you could go for the membership plugins out there...if you just want to make money without spending on the plugins, you could create "private" videos on youtube and give your paid members access to such videos in exchange for money.

    You could give partial content.
    For instance:
1 minute preview of a video
    250 words of content
After the 1 min or 250 words have a subscribe feature. Could be paid or you could build a list. Building a list would gain more trust versus charging them up front and will result in more return in the long run. People love free stuff so play off that and they may pay you back if they like what you have.

I love that idea! What software can I use to have them sign up for a free subscription? But I still want to charge for my exercise videos. So how do I do that?

I am not sure if you would be interested in offering coaching as a way to make money off your blog posts. In my case I have a blog that has tons of information on how to do your own publicity for free. A certain amount of people want coaching or more detailed information and because I have established myself as "the guy" in that area, I am the one they turn to. Perhaps this model would work for you. OK, good luck, Edward Smith.
