How Unique do My Same Site Articles Need To Be To please Google?

Any ideas on what percentage of uniqueness is typically known to be acceptable for Google for same site content?

I am going to add 14-16 new posts (different keywords) for an affiliate site and have spun the heck out of an original article with power article re writer. Right now I am about 30% unique on each spin. Is this going to get me in trouble?

Do I need to be able to pass copyscape to avoid a same site dupe content penalty by Google?

I know no one knows the correct answer but I am looking for experienced advice.

I love PAR I'd HATE to have to write 16 completely unique articles......

    Hey Christian,
It is said that it needs to be about 30% in uniqueness but I think that percentage is a little low.. I would head for atleast 45% or so...

With that said now you know I own an article directory but what most do not know is I also have a blog on the same site which also post the same articles. This is what I do, when an author post an article on the directory I then approve and go to my blog and I post the "summary" of that article and link it to the actual article page on the directory.

This helps increase the exposure and ranking of my authors articles.. Now I do not post every single article to the blog.. I choose it at random and normally the more active an author is the more I will post their articles to the blog..

I'd say ~40% is what you should aim at, although it's not easy to reach from my experience.

Because I know what happens if I am wrong.... Not a big fan of the sandbox, I have been there before. I'm on the first page now and not wanting to 'test' anything. I could put up a junk site to test but I am too busy.

14 - 16 new posts all saying the same thing? I'm sorry, but to hell with Google, what about your site visitors? Don't they deserve better than this

You might not like what I say - but I believe it.
Build it, make money, then build some more
Some old school smarts would help - and here's to Rob Toth for his help. Bloody good stuff, even the freebies!

No not really.... It's an affiliate site I am actually trying to get them off of my site as fast as possible and to my affiliate offer. It is all good content and related to the main topic but tweaked for different keywords.

My main concern is to provide enough relevant content to get them to my site and then get them to my affiliate offer as fast as possible. I'm not trying to entertain them just get them to my offer. If they are on my site for more than 10 seconds without wanting to click my offer I need a stronger call to action IMO.

I use some sneaky graphics that get a lot of clicks, most probably never even bother to read the text, but I'd never get the rankings that get them there without it.

I'll leave the selling to the guys who pay for the great copy, graphics, etc. I'll take my 70% for leading them there

You bet, that's why I asked before I even considered it. I'm not about to get dropped back 100 pages again.

I'll figure something out. Seems like someone would have had a definite answer but with Google, you never know.

The only way to be sure is to write unique content.....

When I start making more I need to outsource right now I have more time than money but that's changing.

More than 50% will do for you and about passing in copy scape it's not a big headache cause many article s are written in the same topic and there are many common key words which had been used so don't be worry about it , give a try see what happen.

I spin and rewrite articles as well. I target at least 65%-75% uniqueness in each rewritten article. I don't write it more than 3 times though.
