How do you research and write articles if you don't know the Niche?.

    Go to Amazon Books. Do a search for your niche. Buy five or six books which have 5 star reviews. Read and digest them. This will make you enough of an expert to get started. Never stop learning.

    I first go to Wikipedia. It is perfect for getting a general overview and finding further information (especially the websites used as resources for the article). Then I usually have further material I can search in Google and check the results from blogs, forums, YouTube etc. in detail.

    Invest in a few books, read a few forums, get a feel for the 'lingo'

    Every niche has their own specific terms, questions, struggles, etc.

    No better research than being surrounded by your target audience !

    I'll say something not popular - If you don't know the niche - don't write about it.
    If your purpose is to make money - You want the articles to be good so people will read them - therefore, find people who know what they are writing about and pay them.
    Shitty articles = no traffic

        The question is a bit confusing to me. You ask how do you research and write articles if you don't know the niche?

        That's how you know the niche ... by researching and writing about it. The more you research the better you get. The more you write the better you get. Don't make it too complicated.

        Agree on a few of the above - getting into this from square one I decided to stick with niches that at the very least I'm interested in and have a bit of familiarity or experience with, or ones that I want to learn about. If I don't do that I fear I'd lose interest quickly, regardless of quality of articles written, and enthusiasm will grind to a halt. I'm sure the sexual dysfunction niche can make a lot of money, but I hope to never be experienced with it...

    Yes definitely do the research by the methods mentioned above, remember soon as you start researching and learning you are already ahead of some of the people in the niche, you don't have to know everything, people pay for information because they don't want to do all the research..time versus money.

      This is the most stupid advice I ever get. If you don't have anything good to say just shut up. Gaining lots of post with irrelevant advice will not make you an authority.

      You always comment on here that Solo ads doesn't work. Honestly, if Solo ads doesn't work for you, it doesn't mean it will not work from others.

    Easy, become to know the niche. Read an article about the niche, then write about what you just read. Look at a video, then write an article or make a video about what you just saw or read.

    Sign up to a few authorities in the niche email list. Get their emails, and write about what they had to say in their emails. Hope this helps.

    If not then don't do it! If so, you don't have to be the expert to begin with. You can set up a niche related blog and share everything you learn as well as useful resources as you discover them - that is your content.

    You can interview experts who do know about your niche and use that as content to help solve the problems, needs and desires your target audience are having. Or, you can get others to write guest posts for you once you have traffic.

      Although being passionate about a niche definitely helps - you're just fooling yourself if you only choose a niche based on interest. Unfortunately you're stacking the odds against yourself with that attitude.

        Totally agree Alast, but that's just the first phase in selecting your niche. When you know what you're passionate about you then need to do some basic research to make sure there's enough interest and profit potential.

    Grab a couple of keywords and put them into Google followed by "," (comma) and "blog" or "articles". Should pull up some sites with written content and from there you can widen your search using the industry terms, following links etc.

    In case you are asking about finding the niche:

    1. Think of your favorite niche first.
    2. Research the trends if you don’t know which one topic to decide on.
    3. Narrow down the main topic and show your special attitude in a focused niche.
    4. Listen to your readers for any new and fresh ideas.
    5. Do keywords research to “please” search engines.

    In case you face writer's block or don't know what to write about:

    1. The Quotes : Lists of inspiring, motivational or useful quotes are hugely popular – with good reason
    2. The Interview: it gives you content you couldn’t have written yourself
    3. The Discussion: Instead of writing about a topic yourself, you simply ask a question – and watch the comments come in.
    4. The Recap: covering what was written on the topic before - is a great way to showcase some of your best work … without doing much writing.

    For me personally,

    I will go to google search and do some relvevant searches there. All the blogs, affiliate sites will throw up some really good information...You can also contact product owners around the niche that you are interested in. More often than not, you will find they are very receptive to proving related content to you in a collaborative manner or even for FREE! Amazon also provide really good insight by you just going to search related books in your niche and see what are the contents page like or even read the first few pages...Then you will get massive idea about what to write and knowledge about your niche even if you are not too expert in that area...

    If it's your first project then I'd pick a niche you know well, it will make your life easier.

    If you know nothing then go to Wikipedia and read all about your niche and any related pages / alternative terms for the niche, i.e. beekeeping is also known as apiarism and beekeepers are Apiarists (Wikipedia told me all this when doing niche research, I didn't know!)

    Then go to Amazon and read the most popular book on the subject and look at the various 'look inside' sections available to see different chapters.

    Browse niche forums and read topics.

    Read the most popular posts on blogs.

    Find an expert and question them OR even better get them to be your content creator!

    Grab a niche pack / PLR content and read it / use it.

      No, Its my second project. My first project runs smoothly. So I want to try other things that I don't know about. I know some here make money even though they don't know their topic.

      I've found a niche for my second project with less competition, but I don't know the topic.

    Research it thoroughly on Wikipedia, Google, go to the library and check out books, order books on Amazon, etc. Spend a week or so doing this. Use smart SEO keyword tools like Market Samurai and UberSuggest. Join forums and communities.

    Find forums full of passionate people about the subject - and ask a couple of questions. That's usually enough to get three or four articles done.. once you mix it up with info from elsewhere. Also - what info are people looking for? Yahoo Answers is good for finding out what info people want - but don't always trust the answers to be correct!

    Read books, join forums and try to come up with useful information. Although I have personally found out that you also need to like the niche. I was able to successfully write content about orthodontics for instance (after undergoing the treatment and reading a lot of stuff) and really loved the topic. Couldn't write about real estate though or anything that I don't fancy

      Did you know that most of the information released by the U.S. federal government is in the public domain? And most of that information is well-written, professional, and up-to-date?

      Those who say public domain material is all useless, vintage, out-of-date garbage that no one would be interested in . . . don't know anything about the public domain.

      The federal government makes available to you millions and millions of pages of great content, images, videos, data bases, and other article information that is free for the asking. It's online right now and there for the taking if you are willing to spend just a little time learning how to find it.

      You will never lack for quality written niche articles on every topic imaginable if you simply go get it.
