I think I have done it, motivation for newbies

Hello friends,

I started my online adventure in august 2011, it is like yesterday. Make my first dollar and share it here with you on 10-04-2011 (here is the link to that happy moment)

After trying several things, I think I now have learn how to make money online, with Amazon. Last month I've passed the $2500 border, and want to share with new starters for motivation. I remember my slef googling amazon income screenshots of other people, and it was very motivating for me.

Here is my income graphic month by month.


And here is my last cheque(feb. about $1500) from Amazon.

        How many long tail keywords do you use for each product you promote?

        Yes all is organic traffic, %95 google, %5 bing, ask, etc. I quit doing seo, because I am not good at it.

          Fascinating to see that this works....and works well for you. Would be fair then to deduce that your success would be your choice of 'long tails' and the quality of your reviews?

            -long tail keywords is the most important part in my case.

            My english is not very good, so my reviews are not the best with fancy sentences, but what I can say is they are useful, I put the info with simple sentences and I think my visitors like this, and they click the buy button.

            I think this is very important, when you write 800 word long reviews(once I used freelancers for this), it may be good for ranking but people usually do not read long posts, and if they do, probably they are not in the buying stage yet.

    so jealous....I used to have 30 websites that promoted amazon product. Easiest affiliate marketing in the world is to promote amazon product. A few years they nixxed Colorado associates and we who live here were all left hung out to dry. I still hate amazon for it. The tax law doesn't even exist anymore in our state (from what i've been told) and they still won't reinstate us. So, enjoy while you can.

    I agree with what many other people said about consistency. Focusing on one business such as Amazon is so key. And having a blueprint of 5 to 10 core tasks that you do on a daily basis to build that business and working on those tasks only.

    Too many of people jump from one thing to another because they get caught up in the shiny object syndrone and they are always focusing briefly on the shiny object of the day. If you would focus on one business and work at it daily. Sometimes it is like a bonsai tree and you don't see any progress. But if you just keep working at the key tasks on a daily basis there will come a time where you will begin to see progress.

    It takes discipline to not get distracted but it will be worth it in the long run.

    Congratulations. If I can make that much from Amazon, I guess I will forget other streams. I have 30+ Amazon Autoblogs but make a little lower than $100 per month.

    Is your result consistent ? or varies greatly? Also have I read that you write short articles? If short articles, how many words?

    One last question, how many articles per blog and what is your Content management system? Wordpress or another? Thanks.

    Congratulations. My advice is this: try to re-invest your money in a more sustainable business model.

    A quick story... back in 2011 I made several sites with hundreds of reviews of ClickBank products. I had a few $1k+ days, and most days were $300+. Then one day Google penalized my site. I lost everything overnight. The problem with your business model is that you have 0 control over your source of traffic. Just something to think about, but congratulations on your success.

    Also, you said you have 20+ blogs. Just curious, do you have multiple blogs for same products or is there a different review on each blog. I've never seen a review blog, not too sure how it's done. Is there just one page on the blog and it's the review witht he affiliate link at the bottom?

      Thanks, good observation.

      In fact I'd started to try some very different things in July (many things at same time without different tracking IDs, unfortunately) 2013, then you can see the $210 dollar in chart in August. Then I try to figure out what was the thing that made the difference for 4 months. When I figured it out I started scaling it up, so you see it paid off.

      Lesson learnt: always use many tracking IDs, for different strategies.

      I only use google search bar and reading forums a couple of minutes to find some long tail keywords, but I do not optimize pages for long tail keywords.
