My Article Marketing Action Plan!...

Right guys

After reading many guides on effective article marketing. I have come up with an action plan that I will be follwing over the coming months in order to drive targeted traffic to my squeeze page - the desired end result is to add new subscribers to my list.

Here is my article marketing action plan, those of you who are experienced/know about article marketing, please would you tell me if my plan is correct, or am I missing something?

1) Initial keyword research, find long-tail keywords in my niche, that are dominated by web 2.0 properties on the first page, and not the huge empires like MSN etc.

2) Outsource the article to my content writer.

3) Find which property is not currently on the first page of google for that keyword, then accordingly set up either an ezinearticle, squidoo lens, hub page to host the article.

4) Respin/rewrite the article, and host them on the other remaining properties, and also my on my blog - and link them to the main property that is hosting the article that I will be looking to crack the top 3 in google with.

5) Create backlinks using yahoo answers, forums, by responding to questions and linking to the article for further information. And maybe paying for a WSO to create the backlinks for me? (anyone recommend a good service?).

6) Keep backlinking until the article cracks the top 3 and stops the "google dance'.

7) Rinse and repeat onto the next keywords/articles until you build a huge article empire churning out the targeted traffic! (mwahaha!)

How does this plan sounds to you all? To be honest I am a little lost when it comes to backlinking - what have you found works for you?

Thanks

Si

      Blog and Article commenting

      Submit RSS feed

      Manually submit to directories

      Forum Signatures

There's loads more, but just try those to start with!

Also if you go to the WSO section of the forum, both Angela and Paul have a high PR backlinking service. They are $5 a month and $8 a month respectively. You also get your first month's worth of backlinks for free! There's plenty of reviews for these products there as well!

I have also noticed a few more warriors offering WSO backlink services over the last week!

Thats definitely a great game plan for the article marketers. Getting on the long tail keywords and then slowly moving on to the short ones. Here the bookmarking and other web 2.0 techniques would also help to stay on the top rankings and also aquire a stable space in the google search results.

I am going to try Angela's backlinks. The reviews are very impressive. I plan to try the back linking strategy for 3-6 months and see what kinds of results I will get. In the meantime, I will continue article marketing. Forum signatures also works well for me in my non IM niches.

I think the best and easy one is FTS.
Paul and Angela's backlink is great but it's very time consuming process and some of the websites already closed the possibility to add link.

I will recommend FTS service by MustafaKamal.

    You got something backwards there....

Post ALL your articles on your own blog/site FIRST! and build backlinks to them and then feel free to post them on other places.

      James,

I have read through your thread discussing this topic, but I do have a question.

Why does it matter if you do it first? Google will still index both of them, right? If you submit to directories and put it on your blog and then focus all of your backlinks and marketing towards your blog, what's the difference?

The big difference is you are giving the "AUTHORITY" to yourself by posting it on your site first and building backlinks to your site first before submitting.

You see by submitting all that content to article directories and not your site first you are giving them all the authority. Thus building them up more and thus helping your competition more.

Remember that there is way more than just google in this game, there are many many search engines and many niche search sites. Buding that authority to yourself first will help increase your expose by 10 fold.

This is why I highly suggest posting everything to your site first (even if that means installing a 2nd blog) and build all the backlinks WITHOUT article directories. Once done then share and syndicate your articles with thousands of article directories.

Okay, so it's rather just a case of establishing authority for your own content rather than anything to do with SEO?

I submit my articles to my blog and Ezine Articles at virtually the same time. Whilst it's getting approved at EZA I build backlinks to my blog. From an SEO perspective I haven't seen any negative effects, thus far.
