Quick Tip.... Reduce Unsubscribe Rates -Retain Customers

Here is a great little technique that you can incorporate into any Auto-responder series or Broadcast Mailing.

After your last line of text insert some space between your "Unsubscribe button" by pressing enter down the page.

About 1/2 way down insert a diversion link like this

--------------
--------------

I recommend linking to something that is non sales page oriented. Link to something engaging, free content etc.

This diversion works well......in moderation...and helps retain the subscriber who may be having a bad day. You can get creative with the text and call to action. Make it fun for you subscriber.

That's certainly one of the keys to maintaining our subscribers.

If you can make the subscriber at least smile once in awhile the chances of them unsubscribing go way, way down and they will look forward to your emails.

Nice tip to be employed Sean.

    Hi Sean,
I am relatively new to this Online Marketing and so far don't have a huge unsubscribe rate, but that may be because I have small lists (only about 100 over 3 lists). But this tip will come in handy. Thanks.
