Questions to Get Response in regards to enabling single opt in

People have been saying to stay away from get response. It may be skeptical to be a little cautious as to why someone would need to contact support in order to enable single opt ins. These questions look like they're hunting for something.

1) Are the contacts aware of the fact that
they are being added to a mailing list?
Their explicit permission must be expressed.

2) What are your expectations regarding
the size of the list? How many contacts
are you going to add daily?

3) Which campaign do you wish to be set
to single optin API?

4) Please provide us with the detailed information
about your entire list acquisition process
(including the links to your websites).

I haven't read much about why not to use get response other than they are shutting people's accounts down. Question number 4 looks like the bait to reel you in.

Most major autoresponders are strict about uploading leads not generated through their system. So they need other sources of proof to verify that your leads were collected legitimately and not through spammy methods.

Your point about enabling single opt-in is irrelevant here since that's a feature enabled or disabled through the settings of each form you create (it's the confirmed opt-in feature).

I am not sure where your list came from but they have full right to question an uploaded list that was generated outside of their systems.
