[ASK] Double Optin in Weight Loss Niche

Hi, I'm new in internet marketing.

I've build things like sales page, landing page and include the product.
But, I'm confused how about double or single optin in weight loss niche (I'm using GetResponse).

If using double optin, after visitor use the form in landing page (free report), where should visitors be directed? Obviously I can directed to my sales page offer if single optin (because it doesn't require a confirmation again).

Oh ya, my product is weight loss niche.

    I think you should test to see what works for you. The drawback of double optin is fake emails b/c the system passes the subscriber to the download page with even a fake email. Again test it to see what will work for you.

    I believe the previous commenter meant to say that the drawback of single optin is fake emails .... That being said the argument for double optin is that you supposedly get more serious buyers because they went through the trouble of completing the double optin. However some of those people won't complete the double optin. The advantage of the single optin is that you end up with a bigger list. So what if you get bogus emails. Are you really worried that someone might get your free report without giving you a good email? If you are then don't give it away for free. More and more online marketers have moved to single optin as a means of building bigger lists faster. My recommendations is the single optin but then my advice is worth exactly what you paid for it!

      Yeah I think so. But I assume that people who want to need a tips or program like weight loss niche, they are seriously people with primary email. So, I'm not think that they are used fake emails.

      I thought I can might get prospective buyer if I can provide them something of value. So, they're want to subscribe and get my free report with their primary emails.
