Question about making a mailing list.

hi. I've sold quite a bit on ebay lately, baseball cards to be specific, and i was wondering if i can make a list of my customer's emails (i can get them from their paypal payments) and market my other ebay items to them. It seems like an obvious thing to do, and i thought i saw a wso which seemed to suggest this idea, but i wonder if it's against ebay's or paypals terms. if it is, i can live without it. if it's not, i can see offering coupons, etc to my prior customers to expand my business. what do you think? thanks

  • thanks. Do you know of a simple way to manage the emails, other than outlook?

  • Easiest, most effective way is to use an email marketing program, aka an autoresponder. Really the only way to go in order to keep track of information and send your customers emails any time you wish.

Plenty to choose from, I like GetResponse but there are numerous good services available.
  • Both Aweber and GetResponse can handle ten thousands of email addresses. So you only need to click few buttons to send a message to them.
  • To keep yourself from getting into trouble do this I would add an opt out feature on all the email's you send this list. This way you avoid backlash if you have any complaints.
