Optimizing database question

Update to this question:

After contacting Hostgator yet again about the problem one of the support team came back to me with the solution which was to convert the wp-cron.php task into a Linux cron job which he did for me. Hopefully that will resolve the problem for quite a while.

I do hope someone with more technical know how can help me with this.

I received a ticket from Hostgator this morning saying they had put a temporary restriction on my site due as I had exceed resource limitations.

They suggested that I either move my site to a dedicated server (too expensive) or optimize my database.

I follow instructions for this in the article they directed me too but didn't know what to do about the text that appeared under the heading: OPTIMIZE TABLE on the page that I ended up on: Your SQL query has been executed successfully.

I noticed that the TrustJacker plugin is mentioned in this text. Does this mean that it could be this plugin that is causing the problem?

I have been using it for some time but have just installed a new SEO plugin. I wondered it if was this new one that is causing the problem.

I have had this problem before when I was running the broken backlink checker plugin so it seems very restrictive if I can't use certain plugins.

Any suggestions of how I can get round this problem?

Do any other hosts allow more usage?

Thanks

Sandy
