Many people spend hours online doing stuff but how much of this time are you really spending toward achieving your goal?

I'm sure there will be many people who see this thread, not responding in PAIN because they have not yet made their first $100 online.

If that is you, I just wanted to drop a message and let you know, you are in the right place, at the right time - stay in this game as long as you can and I believe there will be a day that you'll turn your current yearly income into a weekly income.

I didnt look at it as makingthe first sale. Instead I set goals every week to tackle a portion of the project.
Once project is complete then the fun part begins, trial and error of marketing.

Attraction marketing is really the best way to make your first sale.

Once that cherry is popped ( no offence) it gets simpler.

          Keyword is Simpler, not easier!

You now have a ritual that you know works.

The most important thing to remember is that money comes when you are ready.

A lot of people thinks its easy work to pull in 6-7 figs, with little or no work

          That is wishful thinking.

Just the name of this forum says it all, Warrior Forum!

          This is a battlefield son!

I have found blogging to be the most inexpensive way in getting traffic. Plus it is not a one time shot. By paying for traffic the people come in and then they are gone. With blogging your article is out in the world forever which helps in creating traffic forever!

Correct. Blogging provides you that chance at "forever". Being mushy aside, I agree that having a blog allows you opportunities to earn infinitely. It is not exactly AUTOMAGIC, but blogging may be one of the most stable method of earning money online.

$100 a day is simply not that hard to do if you're doing the right things. It's almost too easy actually. But, a lot of times it takes someone to take you by the hand on show you exactly what to do and where to do it.

Most newbies trying to reach such a goal get overwhelmed with too many different things to try, chase SEO (lol) or are just flat lost. It's all about networking and following successful people.

There is no IF. Just have to know what to do and how to do it. It's just that simple.

Summer hit the nail right on top of the head!! He is right you know? It's funny to me because I myself have reached out to try to help countless newbies and marketers that think they know it all but aren't making any money. They just don't seem to want to listen to people who are actually doing it!! As long as I offer my assistance and they deny, well, I can say I tried.

Its a matter of perspective actually. If someone just decided to get into IM a minute back, he wouldn't qualify right? On the other hand if someone's made the decision some time back and is in the process of putting things together, he isn't really struggling, right?

Again if someone has figured out a way to make 10 bucks can repeat his stuff 10 times and reach 100. Does that qualify?

So, the question's a bit confusing for me.

Yes, I agree, it's all a matter of perspective and how long you've been working at it. For most people, I think the biggest hindrance is information overload. Find one thing and do it consistently over and over, ramping it up to earn more. Focus is the key! Anyone can realistically do this.

I'm struggling like hell, trying solo ads, article marketing, and now moving on to classified advertising in the national papers, which again... is going to cost a lot in order to get a few subscribers. I dont have a list to swap, so i'm feeling pretty screwed. I can't do any JV's on here yet because of the posting rules! Yet i have a ton of DVD seminar products to market.

Everyone here worried about the traffic. I've been here from 4 years. Tried to build list and didn't worked out for me.

But here are the answers you will get mostly.

Write guest posts and ask the blog owners for a link to your squeeze page
Build a site and write informative articles with a link to your squeeze page
Engage in blogs and forums and post real information there
Make a youtube video with a link to your squeeze page and rank it.
    Solo ads
    PPC advertising
Join in facebook related groups, post valuable info and sometimes a link to squeeze page offering ebook.

    But none worked for me.

      Good.

      My next 3 questions are:

      1. Have you made your first $1000 online?

      2. If not, what do you plan to do to make your first $1000?

I'm sure many people have yet to make $100 online and that's okay. You know who you are and as long as you don't give up and learn to use laser like focus, odds of getting there are on your side.

    Having said that....

I quoted part of the OP because it brings up am important point. Many people who've yet to make "100 dollars" do spend "hours online doing stuff".

    What gives?

    They miss two things.....

    1) Doing Stuff That MAKES YOU MONEY. If you aspire to make money - then you're actually aspiring to be a business. Treat your time online as if it belonged to a business, say an employer. When you're at work, you're doing stuff that makes your employer money. Since you're treating YOUR Internet marketing startup as a BUSINESS (right?), treat your time with it as you do that you spend for your employer. Only do stuff that moves you forward to MONEY - and that may mean regulating the time you spend on this very forum (it did for me).

I'm an honest man and though embarrassing I will tell you a story about time and doing stuff that makes money that happened to me in March of this year.

I made a mistake and ran afoul of a forum rule. I've since "made up" with the powers that be here and we're all friends again. However, that didn't happen until I "paid my debt" and lived out a 5 day ban

What was a "side effect" of that?

I found myself with extra time - time with which I could use on stuff that makes me more money. And, making more money is precisely what ended up happening.

2). Goal Setting. This is how you determine WHAT you need to be doing that makes you money.

    Example.....

Let's say you want to launch a WSO. What needs to happen to do that?

(In brief since this isn't a "how to launch a WSO thread)

    A). Research what is selling
b). Decide what YOU want to sell
    C). Write the sales letter
    D) create the product
    E). Start to recruit affiliates
    F). Post the thread
    G). Go live
    H). Launch to affiliates

THAT is a way to make money and after all, the GOAL IS YO MAKE MONEY.. But when goal setting, the goal isn't to "make money" (yet).

The goal is to create goalS that "step" you to accomplish the "main goal" - making money. That's what I've done here in the "WSO example.

If you do that, you will KNOW what you should be spending "tons of hours online" DOING

So..... if you have not made a hundred bucks, yen, pounds, quid, sheckles, furs or fish......Go get it, them, etc.

    1) Work on $20 a day

    2) when you acheive that then go to next step

    3) next step, once you find something working upscale and outsource on elance / helper sites. Generate leads, leads, more leads and turn them into customers.

    4) Profits and throw 40% of your profits back into paid traffic for more profits.

    5) Rest, have a beer and do it all over again.

Creating a plan to get on a certain level financially is not such a good idea. You need time to figure out your master plan before you can raise claims about how much you want to cash in.
When I started I only wanted to make something extra, to add to my salary. When I reached the same sum as my salary and when I made the same amount for three months I was ready to quit my job. This is what I did.

The first payment and even $100 is quite hard at the start because you just DON'T have a f______ clue what you're doing and you probably went out and bought some get rich quick ebook based on screenshots and testimonials only to find yourself even more confused and out of pocket!

It does take time and a fair amount of trial and error, but you HAVE to give yourself time (at least one year) to turn things around or you won't succeed in this business. I've been involved in IM for over five years and I'm still learning and wanting to learn.

The key to surviving in these shark infested waters is TIME. Once you find something that works and gives you some form of online income then, stick with it and just rinse and repeat the process. Bin the things that don't work and don't waste you time, as time is money.

The reason is when you first start a business it's a hobby and after a the first $500 you are actually making money. Once when you figure out how to make money it's easy to focus on that.

The next hurdle for most people is when you can longer do it all yourself and you need hire people. Long term learning to scale is the biggest issue most people face.

I have yet to make my first dollar online as well but have recently joined a mentorship programme with Marc Milburn and i feel like i will be making money online really soon.

I would love it if any warrior on this forum could check out how i'm getting along so far as I still don't have total confidence in internet marketing but again only because i have yet to see results.

I have been on Marcs OWB course for around a week so i will update once things get moving but for now if anyone could leave their thoughts, opinions and any advice they have about what they see, i would be ever so grateful.

Internet Marketing - 8 Steps to Help You Get Your First $100

What does it take for a beginner to get his first $100?

I guess there's a really popular myth out there that making money online is as easy as 1-2-3 meaning all you have to do is sit behind your desk, push a couple of buttons and "BAM" instant riches...

      This is simply not so.

Don't be fooled - Becoming a successful IM takes time, dedication, persistence and more importantly skill building but just like anything else in this world "All skill are learnable."

With that being said here are 8 steps to help you get started with IM.

Please note there are several ways to produce an income online however my favorite just happens to be list building. So for those of you that are interested in creating a list of respected followers these 8 steps are for you.

1.) Create a list of the top 10 niches you enjoy and know something about.
      A niche is a sub-category of a bigger market.

Here's an example of a niche: If your market is real estate - its obvious real estate alone is a huge market so a sub-category or niche in the real estate market would be short-sales.

      Short-sales can be your niche...

Note: the top four evergreen markets in IM are health, wealth, relationship and lifestyle.

2.) Choose the one that best fits you.
From your list of top 10 niches - choose the one that jumps out of the page. It's usually the one that you could talk about for hours and not be bored with.

Everyone is good at something, whether you agree with me or not - maybe you have a great abs workout program that gets you great results in 90 days, or maybe you're a pick up artist that knows how to charm women or vise versa, or perhaps you're in the business of flipping real estate.

3.) Create a one page website (squeeze page - landing page) or wordpress blog.

Note: May I suggest you learn how to create both. (YES - of course you can outsource but in my opinion - it's important you at least learn how to edit and upload your own html site or wordpress site) I know it sound difficult and scary but it's really not that hard once you make the effort to learn.

Also that means choosing a domain name - getting a hosting account - and an auto responder service.

4.) Create a free eReport, eBook, or Video tutorials on how to.
If you want to be successful at list building you need to ask yourself this question - What are my potential prospects having problems with and how can I solve this problem for them for FREE.

That's right FREE... Deliver tons of valuable free content to your prospects and you'll be rewarded with a huge list of happy followers that will respect you as an expert in your field.

5.) Drive traffic to your site.
Traffic - traffic - traffic - It doesn't matter that you have the best flashiest website or blog. If you don't know how to get traffic to your site how can you expect to build your list and eventually make money?

Good rule of thumb - Don't try to many traffic generating techniques all at once you'll set yourself up for failure, instead find one or two traffic techniques that interest you the most and master these techniques to the fullest.

      6.) Build your list.
If you can do the entire steps mentioned above, then building your list definitely won't be a problem.

However, it does take some time so don't get discouraged and most importantly don't bombard your list with products and services instead focus on continual relationship building. (Give and create helpful, useful advice and tips to your list.)

7.) Promote and sell quality products and services to your list.
Never try to promote a product or service you yourself wouldn't purchase. If your going to conduct a review for a product or service, make sure you actually test the product yourself first.

Trust me when I say your list will quickly identify if you're being truthful or a scammer.

It's not about getting one sale and move on - it's about building relationships with your prospect and marketing valuable related niche products to your list that will have them coming back to you for more.

      8.) Continual Improvements
This is a must. The internet is moving fast forward - With that in mind it's important to always stay on top or even one step ahead. Never stop learning. Things can change at the blink of an eye.

There you have it... 8 steps to help you get started on you road to success.

The fastest way to make money online is to do a self-assessment to determine what you're good at. Then offer it as a service.

Most everyone has a skill that they can market.

On the whole, you get what you pay for.
