Creating backlinks is hardest ..

In my opinion.
It was fairly easy setting up a domain, host, clickbank, hoplinking, and all of that. But time consuming.

Backlinking is what is time consuming. I guess in the process i'm learning where to post my link, and who lets met post it. I've posted 4 to 6 on on my bodybuilding.com blog, and wordpress blog has some as well. My hoplink vendor is promoting a muscle building guide (CD set?), and my whole thing is "gain" or "build" muscle (and all the variables to that).
Posted one on my facebook. Tried posting them in my signatures in a few forums I visit but they don't allow links.

Do you pay for your backlinks or do you create all of them for yourself?

Once your site starts to get popular, it gets easier. You start having people linking to you too without your asking them. That is why is SO IMPORTANT to focus on building a site that people will enjoy enough to return, participate or tell their friends.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

      Thanks for replies

I realize that the more advance/intermediate (non-beginners) have a primary website with links to all of their affiliate websites, correct?
I feel like I need to keep pushing forward, as in create about 3 or 4 more affiliate websites. Then create a primary website linking to all of them. Could you possibly give me some GOOD example of primary sites?

Yes building backlinks is very boring and time consuming, I'd suggest you outsource it. It can be done for fairly cheap ($5 - $10) on digitalpoint and sitepoint marketplace.

I forgot to add, my affiliate page is fairly boring, but it links to my wordpress blog. However, I do have at least 600 words on my affiliate page, giving genuine information .. aren't affiliate pages always 'boring'?

@askloz I'm new here but in all honesty do the two not go hand in hand? Not explored so maybe you have separate sections.

    @ Original question

Creating backlinks is not hard, however if you are new to it then you may find it time consuming as you trial and error different ways. Submitting articles for distribution is one good way, another is to use software such as IBP to find similar websites you can throw link requests at (in bulk). Then of course there are forums and blogs. If you use FireFox then use the searchstatus plugin to browse blogs with, this will help you determine which are dofollow and worthwhile posting comments on. 5 - 10 comments per day soon adds up after a few months.

There are a few tips anyway. It's a topic that could go on and on and if you search this forum no doubt it has been covered extensively.

    Happy back link hunting :-)
