What is an Internet Marketer's favourite IM topic?

Hello there

I would like to create an eBook which I would like to give away for free through a paid WSO so I can build my list.

I cannot decide what to write my eBook about; from my research traffic generation seems to be everyone's favourite topic but I would love to hear what other IMers think

Cheers

  • Traffic generation is certainly going to be one of the most popular. Finding a good niche is another popular one. "What to do with $100 in Internet Marketing" is another good option. "How to make your first $50 online" might get some people interested too.

    Good luck!

    Hi,

Just head on over Warrior + and see what has done well there in the
    past and present too.

Do you have an email list?

Maybe you could set up a survey asking them what their biggest challenges
and needs are and create your product around those results and the ones you've
    collected elsewhere too.

For me it depends on what day of the week it is. I am always thinking about something different, something new I would like to learn

A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

Based on what I've seen in the main forum, "How to Get ________ For Free" would be the hot ticket.

Oki but is there an area which you specifically think about on a regular basis and which you would be interested in learning more about?

Affiliate marketing? Traffic generation? E-mail marketing?

For me it would be Social Media Marketing because that is my weak spot

Definately traffic generation in combination with list building. IM's just love how they can automate several income streams, and building multiple email lists at the same time and get peope through their funnel is a very interesting topic.

I wouldn't focus on the entire thing though for creating a product, if you can solve one specific problem which increases revenue you'll do great

this is actually great, in fact I am thinking on the lines of 'FREE _Page eBook Shows 3 Low Cost Generation Methods That Will Build A 6 Figure Income in 6 months' - maybe shorter as this is too long ...

        Would appreciate your input

I'd want to learn more about Facebook marketing, or unique ways to increase traffic, or maybe how to increase facebook engagement.

Well, it depends if you are asking what they want or what they need. They all want shiny products that promises millions while sipping bear on a hot summer day, without lifting a finger. What they need is a wake-up call: it's quite difficult to make an income online, it's not that easy to maintain it and sure as hell is not for everyone.

In your place, I go for a 'against' the grain approach: I would write a ebook about why SEO isn't what it's all hyped up to be (come on, being f'ed up twice over the last few years isn't enough of a clue?); why automation in best case scenario reduces your work time, but it certainly doesn't eliminate it completely (and never will!); why popular niches aren't the best place to start in IM (and offer a way to find smaller, but easier-to-get-into niches); how to correctly split-test; debunking myths that long sales pages (and articles) don't work because people don't have time (:rolleyes, etc. - you know, the usual stuff that gets all the self-proclaimed 'gurus' and their herds all tensed up.

You can call it the "Wake-Up Call". I think it would sell well to people who still have a shred of critical thinking left.

You can either show them where the money is or with whom the money is!

Where - a system that generates money
    Who - the traffic.

Haha... If the topic was not specific to IM, this is also an option:

  • Hi Malteaser, if you are looking into something popular in IM, I definitely suggest you to check:

    1) Traffic techniques
    2) List building techniques
    3) How to's and case studies

Go for one of these and half of your job is done

    See you soon,

There is no clear-cut answer for this question.

My best advice would be to write about what you have the most knowledge in, not what is most popular, or your product will most likely be junk...

If you're going to write an ebook it should be something you're yourself good at!

So for example if you're a traffic expert I'd love to read it

        I agree with Marian.

Your e-book has to be relevant to people's needs but should be primarily centred around your skill. What can you do that other people can't? Or what approach do you take on a general topic or area that's different to what most people are doing and can help them achieve (insert relevant need here) in a shorter time etc ?

I'll be more than willing to check that out
