Offline Cash Cow Variation - The Plan...

I'm creating a local business niche portal and was thinking of using wp, but can't decide.

This is the plan...
I'm going to create a niche portal for a specific retail industry. Then I figured there are several sub niches for this particular industry. So now I'm going to create 3 or 4 niche sites for these retailers, each one targeting a different audience. The idea being that the retailers can advertise on one, or if they advertise on 2 they get the others for free - something like that. I'll prob have one main site for the general niche then a few smaller, mini niche sites too.

I've come up with my own usp, and as this industry is one that I'm passionate about - it makes it easy to talk to business owners. PLUS I don't have to tone down my hot pink hair LOL!

So looking for some input on wp or html???

For niche portals I still like Joomla. There are so many features that suit this sort of idea better than WP or Html. You might even want to consider an additional site for these niche business owners that is "members only" which is also very easy with Joomla.

If you want some nice business oriented themes for Joomla take a look at ThemZa - Free Themes for Joomla, WordPress, Mambo & Moodle

    I hope this helps

Joomla with Mosets Tree or PHPMyDirectory.

Those are the only 2 I'm using these days because of their flexibility and feature sets.

WP will limit you very quickly. The others mentioned above will allow you to sell upgrades, featured spots, etc.
