My question:

what are the best sites that provide real traffics?

There is no minimum, each niche would be different budget. I use Google and Bing PPC as well as Adroll. Buysellads can also be good.

My general rule is whatever profit I make from my business, 70-80% goes into solo ads, ppc fb or whichever paid ads I choose. Its the fastest way to scale your business for sure!

I have the same question except my budget is $100 and I'm looking to promote affiliate products and I need to know with this type of budget what type of results can I expect?

if it helps the product is priced at $198 per month, it's in the gambling and gaming niche.
Any answers would be much appreciated.

It all depends really. What advertising network are you using?
I highly recommend you use Facebook ads to promote traffic. Firstly due to the fact that cost is quite cheap and you have full control. Plus you get to decide what kind of traffic you want to drive. For me to see results, I usually spend around $10 a day for 5 days. If I don't see a good ROI, I choose something new to promote. So in your case, I would spend at least $20. If you don't see good return, I would change my ad picture, add a new phrase, find a new audience etc.

BuySellAds is also another good option. I usually use this option when promoting affiliate products. The cost varies per website but I make sure that the monthly traffic that the site receives is above 30,000.

When you say above 30,000 what advertising websites are you referring to is it just buysellads or does this include facebook and google ads also?

EDIT: also is this referring to direct linking on the websites or your own landing page with your affiliate link on it?

EDIT: Nevermind I skipped the first post you wrote and it basically answered my question appreciate the help and insight you brought from your experience you have my thanks!!

    Soulshiro,

The minimum to invest each month is what you can afford to get as much data as possible for your business.

Paid traffic is NOT just about sales and conversions, it's about the DATA that you get from your tests. Who is coming to your site? Where are they coming from? Are they opting in? Are they seeing your upsell(s)? Are they purchasing anything? What are they purchasing? At what price point?

No one can tell you this data for you. You have to discover it for yourself.

Treat every single traffic buy, ad buy, solo buy, everything, as a test. Test and track everything that you possibly can with the best tools that you can afford. Test and split your copy, offers, headlines, traffic sources, price points, colors, everything you can, one variable at a time.

See, sales, advertising, and marketing are certainly arts in learning how to influence and persuade, but it's also a hard science in that you can test and tweak one variable at a time to get better data.

The more money you have to invest, the more data you can get, the more money you can make.

To your second point, the best sites to provide "real" traffic will completely depend on your niche. If you're building a list, solo ads are working very well for a lot of people here, which is why they're such a popular topic.

Once you get away from IM, solos become far more powerful. Say you're in the fitness niche, teaching Successful Six Pack Abs Secrets, there are many many many trainers with their own lists who usually have heard of a solo ad and are happy to sell their leads cheap. Facebook PPC is also incredibly powerful, except for adult and dating and some fitness offers that are banned from there, simply because you can niche waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay down and build groups of real people with real names who you can really connect with on there. If your offer is more adult in nature, POF is still really strong for the right offer.

Again, with everything you do, just test test test test test. You can never "fail" or "succeed" at traffic. You can only get more data. When you first test you'll probably be unprofitable, with a negative ROI. When you continue to tweak you'll eventually get to a neutral ROI. As you become a stronger marketer and talk more and more to your market about what they really want and tweak the offers you're showing them until they convert really well, you'll skyrocket your ROI.

At that point, my friend, you can make as much money as you want.

Once you have profitable paid traffic continue increasing the traffic sources that are profitable. You may hit diminishing returns at some point, but incrementally increase your budget each day or week until it's no longer profitable.

These days there are many low cost, high quality traffic sources to test - Facebook ads, content marketing ads (Outbrain, Taboola, Disqus), Twitter (I haven't tried paid Twitter), BingAds and more.

If you can, figure out how to profit with paid traffic, you can scale unlike any other online business model.

That said, I've had some instances on Facebook where I increased an ad campaign from $10 per day to $100+ in one shot and Facebook blew through that budget very quickly on day one so now I increase Facebook ad budgets incrementally - usually $10 to $20 per day per campaign.

These are the best sites for buying banner ads:

      http://web.blogads.com/buy-ads
      http://infolinks.com/
      http://www.projectwonderful.com/
      http://www.adengage.com/
      http://www.oiopublisher.com/
      http://www.komoona.com/
      http://www.adroll.com
      http://adsella.com/marketplace/index.php
      http://www.publicityclerks.com/

However, you need to study the traffic 1st to see what they are interested in most. Also, if the site already has a bunch of ads you may have difficulty getting your message heard. Some of these site allow a an animated gif, as long as the file is small and the animation is short and in good taste. Good luck, and happy marketing.

the amount you invest all depends on whether the offer converts. If you spend $5 and make $10 then obviously the answer to your question is you spend as much money as you can get our hands on.

Just recently I started and adwords campaign for a high converting program. I set my budget to $3 a day. first day I made 4 sales which is $80 recurring income. So I upped it to $10 a day and made just one sale, which is $20 recurring income.

Needless to say I am still testing but with those results I will be spending alot on traffic.

As long as it converts then really you aren't spending anything at all.

There is no minimum, considering the traffic is targeted and your sales page is properly structured to convert, the more traffic you send, the more sales/leads you stand to generate.

A hand full of targeted visitors per day is usually worth a lot more than ten handfuls of untargeted visitors. Do whatever it takes to get targeted visitors to your offer, reinvest the profits and eventually you will have plenty.

    Wishing you much success,

Here's a little tip about paid ads in pay per click places like Google and Yahoo/Bing.

The less you spend on ads, the less profits you will make.

The more you spend on effective ads, the more you will make.

Some people make an access of $5,000-$30,000 per month in PROFIT but the one thing they don't say is how much they really spent that month.

They can spend anywhere between $3,000-$20,000 on ads per month to reach that kind of profits.

This question isn't a good question.

Its not about how much should you invest.

          Its about your numbers.

You don't do well because you just buy traffic

or because you spend a lot on paid traffic.

You do well because you know your numbers.

Whats your squeeze page conversion rate?

How many visitors can you get for $50?

Do you break even on the front end?

What is the sales % from your email campaigns?

How much do you need to invest to gain profit?

If you know this stuff... you can buy any amount of traffic
in the world and do good.
