Question To Affiliates- What Would You Do If A Vendor Didn't Pay You?

Let's say you promoted a product from e-junkie and the vendor hasn't paid you after 2 months, what actions could you take.

Oh...and let's say you already contacted them via phone and email, and all they've sent was two emails wanting your address.

What would you do?

PS- The amount is over $700. Not a huge amount of money, but definitely a good amount of money.

I'm not sure. I'm probably gonna contact them on Monday. E-junkie is kinda like PayDotCom. The vendors have to pay you.

I'm assuming E-junkie may tell me that it's outta their hands. Or something. But I'm definitely going to let them know about the situation.

Go directly to E-junkie and complain. They should be able to do something on your behalf.

        Well...just as I expected. E-junkie can't do anything.

          I am Clickbank fan.
Reason? I get paid for every non-refunded sale!
You either chose to promote good or bad products (lots or few refunds)
          That choice is yours.
          It really is!

          Paydotcom?
Some vendors are honest and pay their affiliates...
Others just don't seem to bother.

          E-junkie?
No experience, but probably the same deal as Paydotcom

          Remember...
          Clickbank is not a bank.
They sell your products and you - the creator (and your affiliates) - get a commission... ALWAYS! They don't depend on goodwill

Oh wow. This is a difficult situation to be in because its not like you can just file a charge back. Well, I really hope you get your $700.

Yea, I hope I get it, too. I think I have a plan that should work.

*to Stefan Vee- I also promote products from clickbank. As well as PayDotCom. I'm just trying to spread out my portfolio so that I'm not solely relying on clickbank.

Plus, the products they have for the niche I'm in don't convert at all. I mean nothing. The other site at e-junkie converts pretty well.

But anyway, thanks for you guys help. I really appreciate it.

    Tony,
depending on where you and the vendor are located, you can take him/her to small claims court.

IANAL, but in the US you can attempt to collect via small claims court for just the filing fees. While it may not be worth it (e.g. you're in OR and the deadbeat is in NY), but maybe just the threat of small claims court may be enough for them to see the light.

Also, you may want to work out some sort of payment arrangement if the person has fallen on hard times and is basically honest - just struggling to pay. Hard to say without more details - and of course if they're just plain deadbeats appealing to their better nature won't work.

Finally, if push comes to shove and you're willing to eat the money - file a 1099 with the IRS stating they made $700 dollars off of you, because its basically income to them. They would then have to claim this as income on their taxes or face tax evasion charges. I'm not an accountant either - so please check this out before doing something a nobody like me tells you to do on the Internet ;-). And of course if you go this route you can pretty much assume you'll never get paid by the person.

    Good luck.

that is really terrible, how come it took you two months, to wait for them to pay up?

It took two months because they pay every month. Pretty much like a lot of other affiliate programs do.

I was waiting because I thought maybe they're just slow...or they're new and aren't sure what to do.

A bunch of things was running through my mind. I wanted to give them a chance to pay me. It won't do me any good to run and scream scam if I didn't give them a chance.

      I understand how business works.

*at jacktackett- thanks dude. You gave some good advice. I kinda don't want to pursue this thing thru court. I've talked to another successful entrepreneur and it'll take time for me to get that money back.

Time that I will have to invest in taking them to court. The company will eventually have to pay for the court cost and lawyer fees, but it'll take time.

I can easily make that money back plus more based on the time it'll take for me to sue them.

This shit sucks. I really want to go after them. I guess I could ruin there rep by reporting it to ripoffreport.com and writing articles and submitting it to goarticles and such.

I guess this is sometimes the price of doing business. In the end it's worth it, but there's always an obstacle to climb over. And some bullshit you have to put up with.

Again, thank you so much for you guys help. It's much appreciated. It's helping me through this f*cking bullshit.

**excuse the cuss words. I'm pissed off.
