Six-figure Income Monthly with Affiliate Commissions

I have been thinking for some time now if it's actually possible to earn a six figure income on a monthly basis from affiliate commissions? Are there any real life stories or are these just get-rich-quick dreams?

  • Of course it's possible, just like it's possible to build "the next Facebook" and cash in to the tune of billions of dollars. Like anything it's a combination of the right skills, a TON of hard work and a sprinkle of good timing. I can tell you this though: most people that talk about earning 6 figures/month, or promote that sort of income like it's easily doable, are full of it...

      It's possible but not easy, 5 figures is a lot more realistic.

      Have 5 authority sites that each make $2000/month.

      What's needed, 20 feeder sites around each site to feed traffic + to help rankings.

      Combine that with a bit of link buying or your own private network and you'll come a long way.

      Are there easier ways? Yes you could for example do what I described above and sell the whole thing at Flippa for 10*monthly.

      Now your $10k turned into $100k (6 figures).

      Obvious to maintain that you would need to have a system in place to keep repeating this every month, not cheap and a lot of hard work, but well, $100k is also a LOT of money each month.

      This sounds real easy right? Then why don't I make $100k/month? I have the network in place to rank.

      It's quite a hassle with VA's I can tell you to set this all up and run it properly, I have 30 Amazon sites now but only half of them is complete, and the other half is finally in the ranking process. The first authority site that's supposed to make $2k/month has just received it's first 20 articles and not a link yet.

      In other words you need to be very organized, have a good amount of time on your hands, and gather a good team. My team is on full capacity with my main business, I don't have huge amounts of time myself, and I'm not that organized so kind of doomed to fail.

      ps: You also need to find buyers that are prepared to pay $20k per site lol.

      Why I tell you all this somewhat irrelevant info? Just to show you hard it is to get to $10k based on affiliate income, what it all requires, now imagine how hard it would be to get to $100k with purely affiliate activities, almost impossible.

      Niche Pursuit guy or Spencer, or is that the same? Anyway one of those IM sites is doing $40000/month in Bluehost affiliate sales, SICK!!!
  • Sure it's possible. I'm doing it.

    Several ways you can do it. Here's what I do.

    eMail Marketing:

    1.) Long term. Build up your list via releasing products or getting on the backend of products launches (ie, you offer a bonus download to another product creator for their customers. You get the lead, their customers get an additional goodie).

    2.) Build up a relationship with said list. Become more than a marketer - become *you*, a real life person, to these people. Deliver value and also quality product promotions.

    3.) eMail your list. This is your business - you don't make money unless you email your list.

    Pinterest/FB

    1.) Find high-ticket webinars to promote. Get an affiliate link.

    2.) Create a viral meme that directs people to sign up for it.

    Take an image and then visit Add cool photo effects to your pics, absolutely free at Loonapix.com . Choose a montage thingee, and then add a quote with your link to it. Post it on Pinterest and FB and then pay $6.99 to promote that post to your followers.

    It's all a numbers/relationships game. In October 2012 when I was laid up for a week in the hospital after ankle surgery, I still cleared over 3K that week from affiliate marketing.

    It's all about how you choose to craft your own business.

    • It's very possible. I know a few who did it in 4 months. I have been at it for a month and have created $2616 recurring monthly income as of today.

      It is possble, but you need a few things.

      an offer that converts.
      and quality traffic.

      I will have a six figure income before this year is up probably sooner at this rate

  • Personally I think that affiliate marketing can be used to fund a long term online business plan. Sure you can make a 6 figure income but with affiliate marketing, your income streams will dry up eventually because the trend of the product is not always going to be 'trendy' if you know what I mean. Always think of building a business that will sustain you long term

    The topic is... is it possible to earn 6 figures MONTHLY... not annually...
    not 5 figures monthly.

    The answer is... of course it's possible. If you can earn 1 dollar
    you can earn 100,000 dollars if you make the right decisions and know
    how to scale your marketing plan.

    To the poster who said those claiming to earn 6 figures monthly are
    full of it... well... you need to check your mindset and figure out why
    you have these self limiting beliefs. I personally know a couple hundred
    people earning 6 figure monthly incomes. No, I'm not going to mention
    their names. They do it using a business model that is pretty much
    affiliate marketing on steroids.

    PS: I'm definitely not a 6figure/month earner, but I've been affiliate marketing for a while and have studied like a madman.

    My $.02 - the people that often do the best, have their own following.

    (It's true that there are 100% underground PPC Ninjas and what have you, but MOST of the people winning affiliate contests as an example have a following).

    Just something to consider.
  • You would be surprised at how many people are earning six figures per month.

    You just need to realize that most of them have their own products and have 100's and sometimes 1000's of affiliates promoting for them.

    It is also a possibility for anyone to earn six figures per month if you sell high ticket products that are in the $500-$3000 per customer range.

    • Yeah that's pretty sick. that is also why I prefer an affiliate product that pays monthly instead of a one time hit it and quit it. It allows you to compound your income, like the pat flynn example.

    Pat Flynn is the guy who make a lot of money (can't remember the figure) from his video showing people how to set up a WP site on BlueHost.

Can someone here point me to the best place/business model where I could at least start earning a three digit income initially per month from affiliate marketing?   • Yes you can make money on a monthly basis from affiliate commissions but to be successful you must have your own product through which you will promote your affiliate links. The product could be a website, a newsletter, ebooks etc. There are many ways to create income but you must be focused if you want not to waste your time. I have created a diabetes newsletter in order to sell my affiliate products. You can check it out in my signature.
  • There are plenty of people who've achieved 6-figure (or even 7-figure) incomes in this industry. While it is very possible, it is important to be reminded that it takes a lot of hard work and learning to get to that level. The reason why the industry has such a high failure rate is because most give up when they realize it isn't exactly a "push button income" or some kind of get rich scheme.

    Your affiliate campaigns should be treated as a business and just like any business it requires hard work.
  • Yes it can be done. Not a lot of people are doing it and the reason is because it is not easy. There is no step-by-step way of doing it or any fast way to make it happen, it's just a possible outcome from lots of hard work and persistence.

    The best way to reach six figures a month is to construct a plan of action and just grind it out daily. As you go forward you will have to make adjustments and probably reconstruct your plan completely, but if you stay focused on your goal anything is possible.
  • I've been constantly earning 5 figures per month for quite a long time. 6 figures would be also possible, but It will require much more from my free time, which I don't want to give up.
    But yes, definitely possible.

  • I know people who make 6 figures monthly with affiliate offer, the only way to do it is with top tier offer (high ticket) and also commission structures with multiple levels..

    But yes it is possible, because I know some people who do it and yea I have met them in person otherwise I might not believe it was possible.

    Ohh a little about me. I have been working as a VA for the last one and a half year. I know pretty much enough about internet marketing. I can set up WordPress websites, autoresponders, write articles for websites, schedule posts etc. Is that enough? Where and how could I get started?

    • Yes it is possible. When you follow a proven method and do not try to reinvent the wheel, then you can see results. You must take action and stick with a plan.
      Try list building/email marketing and you will get great results as an affiliate.

  • The only people I know proven unequivocally (by court documents) to have made that sort of money by affiliate commissions are Shawn Hogan and Brain Dunning through eBay. However they are in deep trouble and could end end up in jail.

    I always tell people that it's simple but never easy. It's simple because you can find all these gurus online who can teach you exactly what to do, but it's not easy because you do have to put in the hard work of setting up your own system. People will teach you how to do it, but they will not do it for you unless you pay them, so you need to do a lot of research and work hard to achieve it.

    How it's possible? there are many ways to make it possible. One easiest example would be to have your website ranked high in Google. Nowadays, people Google everything. For example, I Google "How to get 6-pack Abs". Now if your site is one of the top site that shows up on Google, you will get a lot of visitors everyday. If you can offer people good products to help them get 6 pack abs, people will subscribe to you, and that's when you market to them products that you want to sell. Sounds pretty simple, but it's not gonna happen overnight.

    • I'd say it's not very simple at all, if the figure that is bandied about that 95% of all Internet Marketers fail. Then the percentage of those that are likely to make over $100,000 a month is very, very tiny.

      I don't want to rain on anybodys parade here but as a pure affiliate I think it would be extremely hard. As a product creator of some description or running an e-commerce store much easier but you'd still have to be an exceptional Internet Marketer to pull in six figures a month.

  • There are a lot of people making 6 figures a month through affiliate marketing, but you will not ever hear of most of them as they are not telling anyone what they are doing. You can find out about it later after the money is gone and then they put out a info product on how they did it.

  • Of course that it's possible. It all depends on you. Your strategy and the actions you take. And no one would share their key point on how to do. The most that they will do is to share some ideas that will always turn you around the key point. You will have to realize and find it. Just concentrate well, take your time, work planned, build your strategy, believe in what you do and find the right path for your success going to a six figure income monthly.
  • Those people who make 6 figures each month ONLY from Affiliate marketing are usually owners of some Affiliate Network

    Most people who make 6figure do it combined with selling their own products (usually overpriced webinars or courses or coaching) with affiliate marketing.
  • It is much quicker if you use paid advertising but you will need a monthly budget of about $500 to start doing your testing.

    The vast majority of people that I am aware of that make 6 figures per month use paid advertising as their traffic source.

    Free methods will take a lot of time (typically years). Unless you are a "content genius" who has an incredible work ethic like Pat Flynn which is very, very rare.

    • This. Free traffic methods are the most profitable, but they take a lot of time and energy and in most cases are temporary thanks to changes in SEO algorithms.

      Paid methods work instantly and are less profitable, but once you have a highly optimized campaign running it will churn our profit every month and you don't have to worry about losing money thanks to Google changes. If the traffic source dies, you aren't spending money to keep it.

    Sorry i can't help ya. .but lots of good advice here for making money v as a affiliate.

    My 2 cents. .stay focused on what can earn you money. .try double n triple it .. keep trying. ......only if not move on
