Email marketing vs. Direct marketing

I would like to know do IM'ers here get subscribers first then market a product?

Or, do you just market directly?

It all depends where you buy the traffic.

If you go out and buy traffic from solo ad vendors, I never had success with collecting their name and email. I always had more success when I send these unique visitors to a paid offer.

If you are going to use pay per click, go ahead and work on building your list.

I agree about the solo ads.

I've experienced that unique solo ad traffic are more

inclined to make a purchase than submitting an email.

Yes, I'm already using PPC(content network) and it good for building a
fresh, responsive list with cheap clicks.

The people who come on your list from pay per click tend to open your emails more and buy from you.

Don't get me wrong, solo ads work but sending people from solo ads to your paid offer is far better then collecting names and emails.

Read up on some of Terry Dean, he's one of the best Email Direct Response marketers online.

He would tell you the money isn't in the list, it's in the relationship you create with the list.

    Think about it.

Hey beasty, I think the correct sequence would be idea first, do some research and see if there is a market for it, if there is, then create the product, and give the hungry audience what they want, yes, that's another thing, they got to be hungry.

How do you give it to them? That's the stage you now want to create a squeeze page and put it in front of the hungry audience to start building your list.

        Hope this helps!
