I need help driving traffic to my website.

Try to gain a bunch of followers on Twitter and maybe get some traffic from there.
Post on game forums that will let you put link in signature.

If you feel comfortable with advertising on Facebook, I'd recommend you create a fanpage and get people to like it - either with ads or by joining other similar groups in the gaming niche and recommending your fanpage in your posts (free approach). With FB advertising, target active gaming groups and fanpages. Then, once people are interacting on your own fanpage, direct them to visit your website.

What I've been doing is posting on forums and groups which have people who are interested in what I write about. If you're not really interested in games and just using it as a means to make a quick buck, people might sense that.

Do you like what you are trying to sell? Living breathing your passion is invaluable. People can pick up on it and begin to believe in you. You'll see that in numerous books about success.

I think have reliable traffic you don't have to babysit or keep paying for is the best kind of traffic. I would look into SEO.

Everyone hates it but it has incredible value. Do some research on long-tail keywords using Google's Adword keyword tool. If you get really fancy, you can look into some paid programs. Scope out some keywords related to your niche, particularly with the word "buy" or "purchase" in them if you have an affiliate site. Check out words that have low competition but decent traffic (around 1,000 hits). Target that keyword with a page or blog post. Make it lengthy around 800-1000 words, keep a keyword density of 2% and fill with images and links to appropriate authority sites.

Just how I've always done it/ would do it.

Facebook groups are worthless especially the ones that allow promotions.

Much more effective are Facebook ads in the newsfeed to members of those groups.

Where did you get your keywords for your SEO? Did you use Google Keyword Planner alone to find your high traffic low competition keywords? If you are using it alone, it is like shooting the moon using a slingshot

If I were you, this is what I am going to do.

For my blog posts and article marketing:

First, I'll use the Google Keyword Planner to find the my niche related keywords with high monthly searches.

Next, I'll put these keywords in the free (trial) version of Market Samurai to trim down the results to get keywords with high daily searches with low competition.

Then, I'll use these trimmed-down keywords for my blog posts and article marketing.

So far so good. When I started using this method, my daily number of visitors increased and now I have subscribers for my newsletter.

You are correct about using Facebook! Create a Fan Page and try posting some niche-related yet interesting stuff about your stuff that people like to read and share. Hey! Don't make it look like you are selling something. This is a big turn off for most people. Try doing this method: First update - any niche-related youtube video. Second update - a blog post from anywhere in the net which is niche related. Third update: Your own promotional material.

You can also try using Facebook Promoted Posts Program to speed up the process, that is, if you can spare some cash for it.

You can also link up your twitter account with your Facebook fan page to save effort and time. This way, you don't need to repost all your updates in Facebook into your twitter account.

Instant traffic will only flag your site because those are just fake traffic anyway. It's just like what the above said, let us know if you find that kind of traffic that you are looking for

You will have to do keyword research for your online games. Best XXX games and generic terms are already quite competitive, so you will have to go micro niche.

Well, when I started making websites I was always thought about shiny websites. Then few years back I came.to know that a shiny websites is nothing but a website. On the other side a website with hungry people ( hungry for website infos ) can be a cash machine. So if you have time like 3 months. Just start writing your own review about the games on your website. I think it is enough to get noticed by Google no SEO needed. Believe me it Works. Just write for the visitors and not for the search engine.
