this says it all...

my site is completely dead esp after the little traffic I was getting from facebook has now been cut off. I built my site, political in nature, as a result of hardships I have been through etc and my growing interests in political arena. So I thought doing what I like would help me make some money since I am long term unemployed (extreme example actually)..

Ive done what I can do having zero knowledge in marketing, SEO etc... I have NO MONEY to invest again one of the reasons I put this project together (site, blog, youtube, twitter, facebook accts) was to possibly make a few dollars. I cannot get traffic to the site where some of my competitors who have a half or third of the content I have are getting anywhere from 500K a month to 500K a week!

Please dont attack me, criticize me, use massive amount of technical jargon.. I am tired and worn out from working on this site almost 24/7. Clearly there is something I am doing wrong or missing.

I have seen sites with none of what is suggested for one to do on Warrior Forum getting heavy traffic. I just want to know how someone who starts a page not even a year ago who has no original content gets 500K+++ visitors a month where someone like me who has been beating this dead horse for years only gets a few hundred

Unfortunately, it seems you have been relying on FB for traffic. FB is useful, but never put all your eggs in one basket. Find other methods of getting/driving traffic to your site.

Well you said that your site is about the political arena so why not try some on page seo as well. I'm sure lots of people will be talking about your articles. Or if you want, try a few easy work online to get some bucks that you can use for your campaigns

get rid of the home page. It's chaotic and hard to figure out what you're point is. Your blog would be a better home page at this point. All the other pages are just that, pages - secondary to your home page.

The niche you're in is fairly fast moving. Looking at your competitors: shtf, infowars, theeconomiccollapseblog, etc, they all have a better organized or blog style home page.

Get some backlinks for your original content from some related sites.

I'd get rid of the guerrilla war rhetoric and focus more on "Saving The Republic". It makes you sound like a true radical instead of someone who is trying to wake up the public.

Other than that, I'm not sure I'd feature glenn beck so prominently after all the bad press he's been getting with infowars readers.

BTW, no I'm not a prepper, but I've been considering entering this market...

Main page has my videos asking YOU the visitor what you are prepapred to do, I then have vids of "him" doing what he does best angering Americans I then have latest posts from the blog listed and then news headlines of the day. Everything ppl looking for news and vids can find on 1 page but its a mess to you.. ok fine whatever go tell that to drudge, breitbart etc they all do it too

Get rid of the heart of the of the site huh! Okay.... Political Guerrilla Warfare was built in direct response of people whining "what more can I do" The Tacrtics page you call part of the mess are the things ppl can do to fight back...

Infowar readers are anarchists I dont care what they say or think they are fringe and dangerous. I was awakened before I knew who Beck was and found what he was saying to be true because they were same things I discovered on my own which continues to this day....

None of my competitors do what I do that is a fact they all have news and thats it none offer solutions for ppl to take civil action.. Im not going to defend myself to you..

I knew I would regret this post

Why on earth did you ask for help here if you are not going to take it? Being offensive isn't going to help you at all.

I'm not American so I have absolutely no idea what the site is about. Here are my views from visiting the page.

The header text is impossible to read. The page links directly to a donation button and takes a while for anything else to load, I would have left before the content loaded up. The RED links are jarring and unclear, too cluttered together to let me see what they are about. The bottom sales link just makes me think that the whole page is an ad for something - no idea what.

Change the text colour, space out the links and make the landing page clearer. Explain what the function of the page is before you ask for money. People like to know exactly what they are donating to. The title says ART, I cannot SEE any art.

Yep, the cursive header text & quote have to go. Its the first thing you see. Way too much work to read. You have mere seconds to grab a new browser or potential follower. Make it easy for them to read and understand what the site is about. Right now it just makes me want to click the go back button. I suspect you have a high bounce rate, which will definitely hurt your organic rankings.

As others have stated, you asked for an opinion, I gave it.

You use Drudge as an example.... Your site is nothing like his, although you do target similar markets. Breitbart.com...have you even looked at their site? It's highly organized.

And I'm sorry, but using Guerrilla Warfare does make it sound like you're a kook. You have a limited engagement window before someone clicks off your site. You're losing some right there.

Other than that, I wish you the best of luck with your site.

  • I think you're missing the point BMartin1776. You asked for objective opinions from experienced Warriors and that's what TelZilla gave you.

There's no magic bullet. You have to test again and again to see what works. You asked this forum to take a look at your site and they gave you their opinion, based from their experience and knowledge. It's your prerogative on whether you want to take their advice but you didn't have to so testy and defensive. They're not attacking you, they're helping you.

Those sites that get 500K++ visitors/months are the ones who did their research, who did the tests, who kept track of their campaigns. They tailored their site to what their visitors WANT to see, not what they THINK their visitors wants to see. In addition to that, they have a good idea who they want their visitors to be and where to find them. Market research, offline marketing, SEO, paid ads, social media etc. I bet you they did all that to reach as many people as possible, not just Facebook.

I strongly suggest you calm down, take a look at the links and the suggestion above with a rational eye, and just try one of the suggestions you think make sense. No need to cranky. We're all friends here.

  • No need to be cranky or defensive, we're all friends here.

We're all just trying to help you out and the advice given here are based on what we've experienced with our own sites, from the limited information we have from your post and from what we can gather from your site. All in all, you are the best judge on what you think it's best but you didn't have to rude. We're not forcing you to take our advice. But you should, at the very least, look at the links and advice posted here with a rational eye, apply what you think makes the most sense, and say thank you to the ones who took the time to answer your question.

Chances are they are paid traffic experts and or SEO experts. Getting traffic is easy. The real trick is converting traffic into sales. Without conversions all the traffic in the world will do you little good. But if you were selling a big ticket commission item that paid you $5,000 per sale... then you could spend $4,000 buying traffic to get one conversion... then wash, rinse and repeat.

Think out of the box BMartin1776. Stop putting your eggs in one basket, avoid shiny objects, make some tests, and expect to fail a lot.

You won't get anything getting depressed over that. You can't profit from being overly sensitive of feedback especially at a place like this.
