Here's some hot niches with people needing help today

Here's a list of niches of people looking on how to find word in a particular career. With the recession more people will be looking on how to get jobs and here are the jobs they are looking for on Google.

I have only listed those beginning with 'a'. After the list is the step-by-step method I used I to find them. Follow the method to find all the other jobs people are looking for.

Normally, people would talk about exploiting niches, but I don't like that term in this context. I would much rather say help people in those niches.

IMPORTANT - the purpose of this post is to give a step-by-step method for coming up with niches and to use the technique to give possible niches to make products for.

The method is to brainstorm possible niches. You will then have to do keyword research to see if it would be possible to make money in those niches.

The list below is of possible niches - keyword research on them will have to be done.

All these niches came from Google's main page. Google offers suggestions on what you can search for as you type in their search box. The suggestions are based on what other people have been searching.

Here's how to get Google to give you the suggestions.

1. Go to Preferences

2. Go down to the 'Query Suggestions' section near the bottom.

3. Check the 'Provide query suggestions in the search box' option.

4. Click the 'Save Preferences' button at the bottom of the page.

The suggestions ONLY appear on Google's main page (Google.com).

Here's how I came up with the niches.

1. Type How to become an aa on Google.

2. Google will now give you suggestions that begin with those letters

3. Repeat for How to become an aa up to How to become an az to get suggestions where the jobs begin with a

4. Repeat Steps 1 - 3 (How to become a ba to How to become a zz) to get all other jobs

One niche Google recommends is how to become an assassin, but best not to go there I think.

Thanks for the niches, but some of those niches are very competitive.

Let's take as an example the "attorney" niche,I heard that it is very competitive because google pays a lot for an adsense click, something like 10$+.

      Anyway thanks for the list.

Don't take Google's word for bidding suggestions necessarily:

        Recent Example:

During the French Open I ran some affiliate ads...

        French Open
        "French Open"

...were suggested bids in excess of $10... except that there were only THREE advertisers on the page....

So I bid .50 and was #4 ON EVERY search for French Open!!

If no one is placing ads at Google's ridiculous asking price... force them to take your bargain!

Great idea! I would never have thought of that. Staring me right in the face. Another way of getting good ideas is to go to google, click on shopping, and look at the 25 keywords listed under "A few of the items recently found with Google Product Search:"

These are usually buying keywords so they are a good place to start. It does not mean they are hot, but you can get ideas of stuff you would simply never have thought of, product you did not know exist yet are for sale on amazon, overstock etc.

Very interesting method of locating lucrative niches to operate in - as in serve.

Locating a lucrative niche to serve is the foundation of a solid online business project.

    Great idea. Thanks.

Yes, as Michael states, once you have your list you will need to do some keyword research and see which are viable to market with.

You are completely correct people will need to do some keyword research to see which of them could be used to make money from.

The method I described is for brainstorming. That is coming up with possible ideas for niches when you have no idea where to begin.

Once people have used my method for coming up with possible niches then they MUST research them to see if they are profitable.

(I have edited my OP (original post) to emphasize what you have both brought up.)

Very nice little technique you got there. I like your continuity with the whole "complete the seed phrase" theme from the asterisk thread. Very cool.

You don't need to just limit it to Google Suggest, though. I think this technique would work equally well with any tool, including full-blown keyword tools like Wordtracker or KW Discovery, with the added benefit that you can order them out in terms of competition and traffic...

Or you could even taken this very list, feed it into one of these tools to get the order and quickly fish out the gems. Could be a way of super-charging or refining the technique.

Thanks for your compliment. I am looking at ways of find out for free what problems people are searching for on the Internet. As you have said along with this I have posted similar ideas in other threads.

Other seed phrases that can be used are how to get a job as a, how to start a career as a and where can I find a job as a.

Thanks for saying about using Wordtracker or KW Discovery or other keyword tools. You can put the seed phrases into them and get not only niche ideas, but also information about whether the niche could be profitable.

Yes, you can take the list and put it into the keyword analysis tools to help find the gems - and you must do that before choosing any as a potential niche.

I think that there is a lot of information and tools for keyword analysis, but much less on generating ideas for potential niches.

What I am looking at here is ways for brainstorming and generating ideas for niches. I am also looking for ways to get 'hot niches' by looking at ways to find out what problems people are looking for the answer for.

I am using Google to do this because they have so much data about user's searching habits and they give 'tools' for getting the information by using seed phrases.

Here's how to speed up the process by not going through all the 2 letter combinations.

Letters are split into vowels (aeiou) and consonants (bcdfghjklmnpqrstvwxyz)

    1) If you are starting with a vowel then use combinations with a consonant after if:

    how to become a ab
    how to become a ac
    how to become a ad
    how to become a af
    .
    .
    .
    how to become a az

    2) If you are starting with a consonant then use combinations with a vowel after if:

    how to become a ba
    how to become a be
    how to become a bi
    how to become a bo
    how to become a bu

    3) If you are starting with a consonant then use the following combinations
    at the end

    bl, br
    ch, cl, cr
    dr
    fl, fr
    gl, gr
    ph, pl, pr
    sl, sm, sn, st
    tr

This will speed up the method, but you will lose out on some niches that have unusual combinations: how to become a cma

I can tell you that Google says people have typed these questions into Google. They are questions so people are looking for the answer otherwise why would they ask the question. Also, with the problems with recession and lack of jobs then getting a job is going to be more difficult so people will want to know how to get an edge over other people looking for the same jobs.

I am not saying that you could create a 7 day bootcamp and charge $2,999 to make money. But you could create a small report, use Adsense on an information site or promote affiliate products.

You have to think about them by looking at keyword research to see number of searches, number of competing web sites etc. before deciding to invest both your time and money.

The method is to provide ideas for niches of people that are looking for information. It was intended for people who have no ideas on where to begin to look for niches.

Once again I restate that you MUST research the niches to see if and how you can make money from them.
