Top 4 tips for getting sales with PLR products

    1. Repackage the product
    2. Make a custom cover
    3. Write your own sales copy (or have it written)
    4. Set your own price

The easiest way would probably to check out the sites of a few established PLR content providers and see what works for them.

And, if you want to know more about selling PLR content, there's a few established PLR content providers that have eBooks/eCourses on how to sell PLR content.

Edit: I'm assuming you're talking about selling your own PLR content, and not reselling PLR content.

You do not know how many sales they make.

An example of an established PLR content provider, that also has an eBook/course on how to sell PLR content, is Tiffany Lambert's Plrminimart.com (PLR Store) and the eBook is called PLR ATM.

One way, is to buy the eBooks/courses on how to sell PLR content, from PLR content providers. Alternatively, visit various sites of PLR content providers that have been around for a while, and release new PLR content frequently.

What niches do they focus on?
What's the structure of their PLR content packs?
        What are their prices like?
What is it like navigating around the site?
Are there common elements across sites ? (e.g. are the terms of the PLR license easy to find on the site?)

I don't think you need to worry about how many sales another PLR content provider makes. A simpler question is, are people making money from PLR content? And, the answer is yes. However, this doesn't mean that selling PLR content is for everyone. There are PLR stores that have continued and grown (signalling profitability), but there has also been PLR stores that have closed.

If you're not sure whether you should get serious about selling PLR content, why not sell some PLR content through a WSO or something similar, to test the response.

Make sure that you rewrite the product so it is in your own word and remove stuff that you don't think is important, and add things you think are missing in the product.

After that you also need to make your own cover for the product, don't use the one that comes with it. And if it comes with a sales letter, your better of rewriting that a bit as well, so it is unique.

If your selling PLR make it high quality stuff.

If you can sell them high quality niche PLR products, you
      will always, ALWAYS have buyers.
I'm not talking rehashed crap here.

I'm talking about in demand niche PLR products based
on the best selling Clickbank titles at the time, completely
ready to sell with marketing material, salesletters and
      niche research done for them.

All they have to do is add the traffic.

Here's the business in a nutshell.

Find a hot topic on Clickbank, create or have a product
created on that topic, create a salesletter with fancy
graphics, maybe an affiliate tool kit, a squeeze page, some
emails they can use to promote the product.
I'd even go as far as to find the best keywords for the
niche and give them that list, I'd find all the most active
forums in the niche and give them that list, I'd find the
most popular articles in that niche from places like
EzineArticles.com and give them that list, I'd find cheap
places to advertise in the niche.

Basically everything that they need to start up. If you
outsourced the majority of this, the costs will come to
      around $400 to $500.

If you are good at writing the costs would be significantly
less and if you have some graphic design skills even less
again, but I'll get to that in a minute.

Don't make this difficult, find a topic that's selling well on
the Clickbank marketplace and use that topic for your
      PLR product.

This is a big selling point.
Having a product on a topic that is a proven seller on the
biggest digital product marketplace. A lot of people take
      this seriously.

Health and fitness products always do well, so do gaming
guides and dating and relationship products.

If you are a good writer, this method of making money
will cost you very little to start as the main expense would
      be getting your product created.

You want something around 10,000 words or around 40
pages long. Enough that it covers everything that needs
to be covered in a concise but thorough fashion.

If you want to outsource this work, I suggest using some
of the writers on the WarriorForum, Warriors for hire
      section.

There are a lot of great writers on the WarriorForum and
      they charge reasonable prices.

Always make sure there is plenty of recent feedback
before purchasing and see if they will offer a half up
front, half on delivery payment schedule for you.

Here are a couple of writers who have great feedback.
      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/269421-
      want-professional-100-unique-product-30-made-veryhappy-
      warriors.html

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/59467-
      article-writing-7-article-professional-original-fastturnaround-
      time.html

You want your product like I said, to be around 10,000
      words.

Tell your writer exactly what you want. Show them the
example. Give them ideas, give them research to use. Be
      as precise as possible.

It helps also to give them the title of the ebook you want
created. So if you can come up with a title and maybe 5
to 10 bullet points on what the ebook should cover, that
      will help alot.

Once you've got your writer sorted out, you need to get
your salesletter created and the graphics created.

Salesletter writing and graphics can be a real pain and I
suggest if you are going to do some outsourcing,
      outsource this.

Luckily, you can get all of this outsourced for around
      $100.

There is a very good copywriter right now offering to
create very good salesletters for $47.

You can see his offer here....
      http://www.warriorforum.com/warrior-...l-offersforum/
      240642-very-cheap-sales-letters-only-47-top-
      copywriter-giving-80-off.html

These are long form salesletters that you would normally
see on Clickbank and they are written from scratch.

He does good work and he has good feedback.
(While I'm recommending freelancers, I cannot of course
      guarantee their work.

Any problems are between you and
them as I'm only providing you with the different options
that you have available to you)

The next thing you want to do is get a full mini site
designed for your salesletter so you can put your
salescopy straight into the mini site template.
      This person below

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/124040-
      complete-custom-mini-site-sales-letter-formatting-ecoverbanner-
      header-cheap-order-now.html

Offers a great package for $57.

This person below also offers a very similar package for
$57, but it includes a squeeze page as well.
      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/83394-
      cheapest-minisite-design.html

This is perfect if you want to add more value to your
product. Adding a squeeze page and some emails that
they can use to presell their opt ins.

Graphics make a big different to the price you can sell
      your PLR product for.

People look for good quality graphics and a high quality salesletter.
So that's the product covered and the graphics and
      salesletter.

I'd create a series of 5 presell emails as well as I
mentioned above, for those who join the squeeze page.

The next thing I'd do is find the 50 best keywords for my
products topic and put that in a text pad with the amount
of searches each keyword gets per month (Any keyword
tool can do this, even Googles free keyword tool) and the
amount of competition each keyword has when searching
for that keyword in "" brackets.

I'd also have 5 to 10 articles written on your products
topic for the best 5 to 10 keywords. Those with the
highest volume + lowest competition would be the best
      bet.

If you don't want to write the keyword rich articles
yourself, outsource them. There are some great article
      writers on the WarriorForum.

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/329644-
      top-quality-all-american-english-writing-team-100-
      original-content-superior-results.html

      http://www.warriorforum.com/warriors-hire/128536-
      awesome-writers.html

So now you have a 40+ page product, a nice salesletter
and graphics, maybe a squeeze page with emails, articles
they can use for promotion and a keyword list.

You could stop there and that would be plenty. You could
also do what I said above.

"I'd find all the most active forums in the niche and give
them that list, I'd find the most popular (the ones with
the most views) articles in that niche from places like
EzineArticles.com and give them that list, I'd find cheap
places to advertise in the niche and give them that list."
The more you add, the more value you add.

Something you need to sort out before you start selling
your PLR package is the rights you will be giving your
      customers.

They need to know exactly what they can and can't do
with the package. All PLR offers need to have a terms of
      use.

You put this in your WSO copy and as a text file in your
      products zip file.

Here is a terms of use I suggest you use.
[NO] Can Be Given Away For Free, In Any Form/Way
[NO] Can Be Used As Web Content
[NO] Can Be Sold On Auction Sites
[NO] Can Distribute The Source Files
[NO] Can Use My Name On The Salesletter
      [NO] Can Sell Resell Rights
[NO] Can Sell Master Resell Rights
[NO] Can Sell Private Label Rights
[NO] Can Be Added To Resell Rights Membership Sites
[NO] Can Be Sold As A WSO Or Offered As A Bonus
      To A WSO
[YES] Can Be Sold (I recommend selling for no less then
      $27)
[YES] Can Be Offered With Other Paid Products
[YES] Can Add To A Paid Membership Site With
Personal Use Only (You cannot offer any rights to this
      product at all)
      [YES] Can Be Sold Offline
      [YES] Can Be Edited
[YES] Can Claim Yourself As The Author
[YES] Can Be Turned Into A Paid Audio Or Video
      Product

Once you have your product created you want to get
some high quality reviews for your PLR package.

You want to go and contact 5 to 10 Warriors and give them
the PLR package and in return ask for a detailed review.
The best way to get the best reviews is like this....

Go search the WSO board for WSO's selling any sort of
niche PLR package. That could be PLR blog content,
ebooks, articles, even graphic packs, you name it.
The first thing I'd do is find out if the product creator
had a fairly good reputation on the WarriorForum and
had a good amount of posts under their belt.

I'd then contact that person and tell them you have a
comprehensive high quality PLR package on "insert topic
here". Tell them you'd love to give them a review copy
that they can use in return for a detailed honest review.
Don't try and solicit good comments, ask for honest
reviews. Ask them to be detailed.

If they say yes, they will do it, great!

      Send the package.

I'd then go through the people who left reviews for their
PLR package and if they had a few hundred posts under
their belts, I'd PM them on the WarriorForum as well and
      offer them the same deal.

Ask them to PM you back with their review as you will be
using it on your WSO copy.

You want at least 5 detailed reviews, so if you contact

      Hope That Helps!

Make sure that the PLR content is good quality and I always recommend for people to re-work or edit the plr content to make it unique and customize it exactly to your liking. There is a lot of junk out there so do some research first and then make it your own before you think about reselling it. Hope that helps!

Even if you are just reselling PLR without changing the content, you need to have an original 'cover' created for the package as well as new graphics so that it looks like you are offering something new.

Take the PLR scent off of it and start selling to a list. Of course you need to create a list first. Someone mentioned WSO - but I wouldn't do that because warriors here can spot a PLR product and when that happens the worth of the product magically comes down, no matter how good it is.

If you're still interested in selling PLR products, you can either write your own posts or buy private label rights content and modify it. The best is to create your own products and give them away to a small number of people. This way you'll be able to charge a higher price and provide better quality. Sell your products on forums, social networks, blogs, and websites in your niche.
