Anybody else getting a lot of Request Timeouts today?

Same here, maybe thats why there are plans for an update and redesign? lol

Been having the same issue for more than 12 hours, and even when it does load, it does so very slowly. Not sure it's related, but I didn't get an email notification for a PM I received today as well.

They should turn it off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on again...

Edit: Heh. The WSO banner at the top of my page when I submitted this said "IS YOUR WEBSITE DOWN OR SLOW?". Irony much?

Maybe they should have come to me and I would have built them one of my super-fast web-servers for $5 and not only would they have had one of the fastest WordPress web-servers on the planet, but they would have saved a bundle too.

Same issues here. Is it because the forum stats say there's 100,000 people viewing the forum right now? Currently Active Users: 100025 (2741 members and 97284 guests)

I don't remember seeing those numbers in the stats before.

Most users ever online was 161,840, 06-19-2013 at 09:50 PM.

It's been bad all week but today it's almost unusable for me. I have to copy my comments before posting, so the time-out doesn't eat them. Then I refresh the page and my comment isn't there, so I paste the comment in the comment box and try again, and again, then finally it'll post without timing out.

Highlighting your comment and copying them before clicking 'Submit reply' is a good time saver at the moment.

Been having a similar problem with the search feature. Will do a search, and get nothing. Do the exact same search a few seconds later, and search results come up.

Thanks for all the replies. I'm glad it's not just me. Hopefully, admin will see this thread and take action. Perhaps instead of changing the look of the forum, the new owners should consider making some changes "under the hood" (or "under the bonnet" as we say this side of the pond

).

The Warrior Forum has always been super unreliable. Features not working. Requests timing out. Or the site itself going down completely. In fact time was I spent well over $1000 per month on the WF for advertising but I stopped because of all the down time.

I had high hopes that with the purchase by freelancer.com these things would be addressed. However it seems freelancer.com is more worried about doing a site redesign or about adding new forum sections then they are with this. Personally Im surprised. I thought the WF unreliability would be the first thing they took care of.

Maybe have a little patience

The first thing we did was to assign a dedicated devops team to improving the infrastructure. This is well underway and we plan to have the site fully migrated to Amazon AWS by mid May.
