Where are best places to sell web design services?

Hi

I'm trying to target Internet Marketers who struggle to make websites. I want to help them build sites so they can concentrate on the important stuff, building products and reaching out to customers.

Any suggestions on how I can do this? E.g. avenues for marketing my services, books I can read (e.g. WordPress design or site building), marketing a web design firm?

    The obvious place is here on the WF - the home of the internet marketer. Could you put together a woso and use it to demonstrate your skill (because this is what will mark you out from others offering the same service). You can use it to generate a list of those who are at the stage of needing a website.

    If you can find another warrior who does, e.g. copywriting for internet marketers, you can plug into their traffic and / or business on a percentage or commission basis. So, he / she would recommend you for the web design bit of the project, and you would pay them a fee for everyone who took up their recommendation. If you can work with several other professionals like this you could build quite a nice business for free.

    Two things you will need to demonstrate 1. Work speedily to a deadline, and 2. Communicate well with clients. Most people who are outsourcing want work done quickly (i.e. on time), accurately (i.e. ability to follow instructions) and with the minimum of fuss and hassle (i.e. good communication). If you can deliver that, then the cost will be a secondary consideration. Everyone thinks "the cheapest" will win out every time. This just isn't so.

      I would offer some review copies here on the warrior forum, and then post an ad in the classified ads section, or in the Wso section if you plan on offering a discount for your services.

      Perhaps a limited introduction special offer will be good, then you'll get some reviews from people who actually purchased your serveces. Good luck!

      Why don't you look for small businesses in your area. I made the most money working with these types of Businesses. An other good place to get leads is Craigslist. People are always looking to get websites built there.
