godaddy domain forward
Without going into the backstory, I have a question.
Have two domains registered, Old.com and New.com
Old.com has been around for 10+ years and gets consistent traffic.
New.com is domain forwarded to Old.com
So whether you type in new.com or old.com - customer arrives at same website.
Sooner rather than later we'll htaccess/301-re-direct old.com to new.com so old.com will retire, but for now we're domain forwarding.
My question is, how can I determine how many are entering my site via new.com? The domain forwarded URL? With Google Analytics I see the traffic going to Old.com, broken up by source of Acquisition but I think b/c of the forward both are reported as "direct".
Any ideas? thanks!
