What format do you prefer your products in?

Hi Fellow Warriors

I'm just doing a bit of market research and I am wondering, when you are looking for 'how to' info products, what format do you like to receive your products in or what do you find to be the most successful for you?

Do you and your clients prefer, pdf's, powerpoint, video, screen-capture movies, etc.

Thanks in advice guys!

If you are talking about e-books, I normally prefer PDFs.

If you are talking about videos, I normally prefer Easy Video Player or Easy Video Suite.

I prefer definitely video for delivering products. I'm not an native speaker that means it is always easier for me to deliver my content. It is also easier for my customers to see what I teach with like a look over my shoulder.

I would chose the medium you are most comfortable with.

Some people when they create products - they present their product in multiple formats.

I have come across some products where people do videos and then make a pdf or audio version of it as well. This is optional, but it does gives customers the choice of enjoying the content in the way they prefer by watching, listening or reading.

I think the VALUE of information is superlative.

    Seriously.

I've had HD Video Tutorials that I never even watched...

And UNORGANIZED PDFs that I indefinitely cherished for their unyielding value.

It's all about the quality of data.

(What if I gave you a 6 figure secret written down on a napkin. Would you appreciate it?).

I prefer getting info-products through the mail. I prefer to be able to hold something in my hands than look at it on a computer screen.

Same with book, I only buy paperback books. No Kindle for me.

I prefer a well structured pdf report actually. Some videos can be a real pain to watch sometimes...Making a video is just much harder to make organised, and in an hour video, usually there's 15 minutes lost on irrelevant information...UNLESS it's an interview, which is usually straight to the point.

I prefer a mix of pdf and video. Reason being, I read through the pdf, and then move on to the videos for more clarification.

Personally, I have a huge preference for PDFs. It helps if they have screenshots where needed though, especially, if there's some complicated step-by-step stuff involved.

However, when it comes to talking head videos, or PPT videos, I would prefer PDFs all the way.

If there have to be videos, I prefer them short.

One issue that rarely is mentioned is that videos take up a huge amount of space on my hard drive. And I'm running out.

PDFs though you can add endlessly!

And yes, the information inside is what REALLY counts.

It depends on the type of product but generally I prefer PDFs so I can easily scan through them, skipping information that I don't need or already know. It saves me a lot of time, and I can easily go back to it again later on. The best part is I can print certain pages out for quick reference.

Of course, having a well formatted and structured content helps a lot

Really depends on the content (vertical) .. Variety is best. I personally prefer audio and video however, many people prefer to read and enjoy templates, forums etc.

If it's high ticket a physical book, DVD or USB adds 'stickiness' and value.
