IM List and Promotions

Hello,

I would like to know more about the kind of list to build and the products I should promote to that list.

Let's say I want to build a list of people who want to make money online. Should I focus on one aspect of making money online? For example, if my bribe is 'How to Make Money on Youtube Quickly', should the products I promote via email be related only to making money on Youtube?

Is it possible to create a list of subscribers who are interested in all or many aspects of making money online? Could I promote product related to different areas such as Facebook ads, Youtube traffic, Amazon affiliate etc.?

Thanks for your help.

If your squeeze page says something like

"Learn How a Simple Video Banked Me $127 in 1 Day"

You can promote them youtube products and really anything because they are still interested in the opportunity of making money online.

If your squeeze page is about 'How to Make Money on Youtube Quickly'

The people who will be joining your list are internet marketers just like us - this audience of people are interested in a large range of different topics that fall under the make money online category.

Because on this squeeze page, youtube is mentioned - you would focus on the Youtube subject most of the time in your emails and these people may also be interested in graphics for their Youtube channel too.

As I said before, because these people are generally interested in a large range of make money online activities, occasionally you could mention something else related to making money online in emails - but you would mostly focus on Youtube.

Hi guys, I just wanted to post here as I am new to the IM world and just in the process of developing my blog. I am currently working through the Quick Start Challenge and thought it was worth highlighting the importance of making sure that any "give-away/bribe" must be of high quality if we are to develop any kind of trust in our readers.
This is what I am currently looking at and I feel it is really important to give plenty of value in these offers, which people will actually feel they have had a good deal and be open to future offers.

It's always good to have several lists which are targeted to one specific sub niche withing your main niche.

But then again, most products in the MMO niche can be promoted to every internet marketer, so you can broadcast to your entire list too. You can simply ask yourself if you promote a product: will this benefit my entire list or just the people on one specific list?

If people join your list because they show an interest in YT then it would make a lot of sense to follow up with more content and products related to YT but that doesn't mean you cannot promote anything else.

There are many related things that they'll also like.

Thanks for the great replies. It seems that having sub-lists is beneficial.
