Hi, I am new to internet marketing and I have a question regarding Clickbank.
I am trying to promote a product and I don't know whether this link will work for me.

Example:
The website provides this as the text link to promote their product:
URL 1: http://(my Clickbank affiliate ID).(vendor ID).hop.clickbank.net/

When I try going on URL 1, it changes it this url instead.
URL 2: http://www.(website name).com/?hop=(my Clickbank affiliate ID)

I have been promoting the 2nd URL on Facebook but will that work?
Will URL 2 allow me to make money or should I just use the previous one?

Thanks for the help!

You should promote the first URL if you want to get paid a commission. The second URL does not set a cookie.

You should not change the URL, that will not activate you as the affiliate.

Looks like I wasted some money on Facebook Ads. Oh well, beginner's mistake. You got to learn somehow.

      Thanks again for the help.

promote the link that they give you, otherwise you might risk losing a commission if someone orders thru the second link

What ever Clickbank gives you to promote, use that link. Don't try to change things up because there is a good chance that you might lose your commissions this way.

Maybe for technical Clickbank questions that only Clickbank can answer but for queries that the average marketer might know the answer to, the WF works perfectly as the responses tend to be within minutes and not hours.

Out of curiosity, why did you use the second one? I'm not being critical, I just wonder if others have had similar thoughts.

They don't provide the second one. They only give you the first affiliate link. When people visit that link it sends them to clickbank, sets the affiliate cookie, and then forwards them to the salespage which is the second link the original poster was talking about.

But Clickbank only ever give you the one affiliate link.
