I have a conflict

So I run a successful travel blog about Thailand, most of my traffic comes from the darker side of Thailand, girls, nightlife etc etc. I'm also a free lance writer, and people get me to write about Thailand which I dont mind, usually stuff like beaches or restaurants, stuff that doesn't get many views on my own blog.
My blog is more a personal story to with some dark humour and what not. I am not sure what has more value for me to write all the posts on my own blog (most of which I dont think will rank well in SEO anyway)or get paid a much higher amount by writing these articles for other sites.
All the stuff that I rank well for in google on my own site, I would not write on another site, because its worth more for me in the long run to write it on my own, but things like top beaches/hotels/ and other generic stuff I do.
What would you do in my spot? let me know if I have not been clear and ill word it better.
