Quick question for you fellow warriors ... What do you think????

Hey fellow, warriors I have just a quick question. I am about to start list building but my question is... How fast have you seen or heard of a person being profitable with a list that they just started. It's really just a question for my curiosity. Most people tell me it takes months but I just thought I would ask the whole forum to hear other markers results.

    Well it all depends , on who is on your side , what product it is , how you market it etc ..
    But if you are in a good niche , and have a good , product , with great layouts , sales pages etc, and good marketing and follow up , you could make good money .

      I made my first sale two days after I engaged my first subscriber. I was profitable immediately because I started out without investing a dime in my list building. I don't suggest you start that way - it takes too long to get some traction. But you can begin with a simple web site, an autoresponder and time invested in getting some traffic.

      Your mileage will vary.

      You're asking one of those questions that can only be answered with "it all depends."

      It could be a day, a week, a month, or 10 years depending upon all the factors that contribute to profitability.

      How fast you build your list should not be your main concern.

    Well it really depends on how fast you are growing the list and the price point of your product...

    I wouldn't expect much until you have > 1000 subscribers

    Being in profit with list building is all about the relationship you build with them over time.

    It also depends on where you are getting your leads from.

    It takes time,List building isn't a get rich quick thing but its kind of passive income stream.
    It might take few weeks or even few months to get a huge list and then make money off it.

    I made my first sale from my first list in 1 day:
    Here is how I made my first list:

    1) Created a software product.
    2) Did a WSO on it selling it for a low cost. Also did a 70% JV on it.
    3) Sold over 250 copies in a month.

    Boom I made about $2K on the front end .. and got a list of 250+ buyers.
    For me it really was that easy.

    I am just starting out in IM and about to start list building; surely we have to offer real value to any list on a consistent basis in order to develop trust?
    At least this is what I intend to do, I want my prospects to expect either really good content or true value in any offer that they see. I hope that this is the route to a sound, long term business.

      It can take a month or two. If you put at least 4 hrs a day work on creating yiur system.

      Your bare essential really is a sales funnel (from your blog or site or even a free ebook where you have affiliate links). Having a sales funnel with a lead magnet, freebie to give value to your audience in exchange for their email is good way to get signups.

      That said you need hosting and domain name.

      Get an autoresponder setup from aweber, gvo, mailchimp etc.

      Setup an email system for optins.

      Find a good provider of solo with good testimonial and keep refreshing your list upto 1000 subs.

      So the question is if you can afford to invest .40 or higher for premium solos then that will determine how long until you can get 1000 subs.

      Its not over, then you go swap ads and exchange mail list with other 1k list holders but use discretion who you do swaps with

      Keep building your list as you can start offering .40 clicks from that point on.

      Conclusion, the more you give to your business, the faster your business grows.

      Whether its investing time to setup systems or investment for solo ads or giving free value for your audiences, these are the variables that will determine the speed of your business growth.

    The better your funnel, the quicker you will build your list. TEST, TEST and TEST again. Something will go wrong, it always does the first time around. Something will be forgotten or missing or incomplete.
    Run through every step of your sales funnel and get a friend to do the same.

    If you're taking the right action on a consistent basis then you could start making money in the next 3 months or so. It could be sooner than that or longer than that, but it really depends on your methods and your work ethic.

    Don't worry about how long it will take, just know that you will be successful and the more you apply what you've learned about list building, the closer you will get to success.
