I have two video salesletters, each around 50-60 MB big. When hosted on Amazon S3, I was paying around $40 a month.
However, now that I've switched to a VPS web host, I pay $35 a month. Not only can I host my videos on my VPS server, I also get a faster website, 3 dedicated IP addresses, and other perks of having a VPS as opposed to standard shared hosting.
Seeing as I was paying some $10 for my previous shared hosting, and $40 for Amazon S3, that means I'm saving a good $15 a month by ditching Amazon S3 and going for VPS.
