Hey guys its been awhile since I've been active on the site. I was thinking to myself of how I have evolved since I began in the marketing industry (internet specifically). So i'm going to share some of my hopes and fears when I first got into Internet Marketing.

Hopes

  • To make $10,000 mo. in less than a year.
  • Make money with little effort.
  • Be the pride of the family due to my new found wealth in MMO industry.
  • Live the laptop lifestyle
Fears
  • To look like a fool in front of family and friends.
  • Loose money investing to into info products and failed campaigns.
  • Not making a money quick enough.
  • That its just an illusion, and you can't make money online.
Those were some of mine, whats yours?

You'll get there. You can't be afraid to fail. In the beginning, effort is vital. Product creation is no doubt where it's at.

    Wish you the best.

My comments are in BOLD letters....
    Fears
    • To look like a fool in front of family and friends.

Don't tell them what you are doing. Keep a low profile. Never talk to them about your business.

    • Loose money investing to into info products and failed campaigns.

It is OK to lose money and fail over and over again. Most of the very successful internet marketers failed in their first few weeks, months, and even years.

    • Not making a money quick enough.

You will probably lose money and feel like a failure. It is OK. Just learn from your mistakes and move on. Learn from each setback.

    • That its just an illusion, and you can't make money online.

If others are succeeding, so can anyone.

You can't be afraid of what anyone thinks of you. You have to understand what you want to accomplish and just go get it. There were days where I'd literally feel like a bum and hang my head but I kept pushing. I recall going to my Moms house and hearing her tell me to get a job all the time. It was difficult to tune that out and there was a point in time where I thought she was right....I stayed after it and now I'm able to help my Mom tremendously.

    My biggest fear:

It will take long before seeing results and as such, I'll give up too soon (I really need to force myself not to do this, I get bored of things so easily)

I pretty much faced and experienced all of these fears fist hand, and it wasn't pretty, haha, but I'm over them now. Although I might still look like a fool in the eyes of some.. you have to let go and just accept that you are taking charge of your own destiny.

One main point/advice that I can give is to build you own business and not just help others build theirs.

Early on in my career I was somewhat interested in MLM/Networking crap until I finally understood that these companies can just change their terms of service in a blink of an eye... and it's usually not in your favor. Also they tend to hype and not deliver what they promised. Not necessarily scams but more like Shams.

Anyways, go for it. Break a leg.
