I hope this is where the "hi, I'm new!" posts go - if not, feel free to move/delete it.

Just wanted to say 'sup?. I'm completely new to the internet marketing/publishing game - just an interested bystander at this point.

My name's Nick and I'm currently chillin' like a villain on the Gold Coast of Australia. Anyone else based in Australia? I feel like the fastest way I could learn is to get in on some mastermind-type meetings with switched-on marketer types.

If anyone wants to tell themselves a bit about their internet journey, I'd love to hear it

Hi Nick,

I'm new here, as well, and I find no matter how puzzling many of the posts are (puzzling because I don't yet grasp all the lingo) I force myself to stumble through them. Who knows when one of the acronyms I've come across will be revealed as to its meaning? I hope by filling my brain with all I can, it will sort it out in time and reveal to me my path! OK, maybe not my path in a metaphysical way -- that sounds pretty grand -- but maybe tomorrow I will understand more than today because of all the absorbing I'm trying to do. Of course, I could also just end up with a very soggy brain...

Welcome Nick! You've just discovered a gold mine. Jump in and start panning!
Just remember that among all this gold are giant lumps of coal. Are you smart enough to figure out which is witch? You might get dirty in the process but hey, that's the only way to learn right? Just make sure someone doesn't steal all your gold while you're learning.

Hi and welcome Nick, I'm still new myself and I've learned heaps but one thing I have found is that there is a lot of info here so find the right niche and research it look at whats out there then go for it plus the best part is that there a some fantastic warriors here that can really help if you get stuck
