I am creating several case studies and wanted to get everyones opinion on this.

When reading or viewing a case study would you rather receive it in video or PDF format?

I would make it available in both formats.

      Agreed!

I prefer PDF, but others may prefer video. So, kill two birds with one stone.

      I second this.

Sometimes I prefer reading and at times I love watching videos. I think it has something to do with my mood.

  • If marketers were actually able to create videos that were professional, entertaining and didn't suck, I'd say videos. But since most so called videos consist of either a plain boring white background, black text, and really bad voiceovers recorded on a cheap mic, or those annoying hands drawing images, I'd have to say pdf's.

I prefer PDF - can read it anywhere. It depends what the cas studies are. Often the videps marketers put online are just way too long and a lot of us don't have time to see and watch something when we have no idea when it will come to an end. On that note it would alos be helpful if it said in the beginning how long...

I find that when I watch videos, I generally tend to absorb more information and take action rather than from a pdf.

It will depend on the subject mainly with me.
Some things/areas I prefer video to see how it is done.
    Other areas I prefer PDF.
    Sometimes both.

It always depends on the content you are presenting. If it's over the shoulder type stuff then I ned it in video. If it's not technical like that then a pdf will do.

PDF is best as you can look backward and forward to find something.
With video, it is a pain to go back through it to find a detail you need to watch again.

It depends on the subject matter. Generally I prefer reading so I like PDFs, however, sometimes it's better to use video to demonstrate something or to show something from you computer or tablet.

pdf is easier to open that .wav, .mp4 act.. most people do not have all the programs or codecs installed to see a video

If you're up to it, do both.

If you MUST choose, stick with PDF.

I'm not so good in listening English, thus I prefer PDF's to read.

    And it's easier to "quick-read" a PDF, than doing a "quick-watch" a video.

if you're going to do video, please make them small, (3-5 minutes each). There's nothing more boring then 1 hour of continuous, monotonous info on affiliate marketing. That being said, a pdf is always good too. maybe make both?

I much prefer video, but when I am creating a product, I always use both,

    And Audio as well!

Jusr remember, keep your videos short and punchy. Long, rambling videos are a real turn-off.
