Namecheap for hosting?

I've been using Namecheap to purchase my domains, but never tried their hosting services.
How do you guys like it?

I normally, don't like my hosting and domain from the same source, but I'm tempted...

  • Well my advice is don't, split the hosting and the domains. Just my 2 dinars.

It's probably better to keep your hosting and domains from different sources.

If you want to try Namecheap hosting, maybe you can consider getting a domain from another registrar and connecting the two.

namecheaps' hosting is through their company web-hosting.com

There is no reason other than a false sense of security to host your site and domain at two separate places. It's not like when the zombies attack they will coordinate strategic take-downs in various locations. They want brains not bits and bytes.

Namecheap is great for both domain and hosting! If you are wondering about anything, contact them through live support. They have really great support

Namecheap is the best for domains but not good for hosting.

    Try this:

Web Hosting Talk - Search Results

Short version there is NameCheap is (arguably) exceptional as a registrar and host.

If you're not comfortable having your hosting and domain from the same source there are many options for web hosting (although domain wise, I think namecheap is one of the best)

We've been using namecheap hosting and it's worked fairly well for us; no big hip-cups although a faster alternative currently is crocweb which is about the same price (found it on warrior forum hosting ad)

I've used Namecheap hosting for almost 2 years. Very satisfied, and I run a lot of traffic through these sites. I think its one of the better values I've found....of course ymmv.

I use Namecheap for purchasing domains, but do not rely on their hosting services. Is there a reason why you are opposed to Hostgator?

Namecheap is indeed a Good Registrar but Hosting is not so good. This is the major problem of these company like Namecheap, Godaddy etc. Better you go with webhostinghub
