Question For MAILCHIMP EXPERTS

OK.

I have a question for anybody who's a mailchimp pro.

How do you attach a file to use as a bonus or "free report"?

I want to make it so that the pdf free book I'm giving away just opens in a new window.

I've tried to find resources for this online but I can't find anything.

Can anybody help a brotha out?

I think one way to do it would just be to include it as the first message that gets autmatically sent to everyone. I do not use Mail Chimp but I did for a short run. You can put the picture of the PDF in their version of a set series of messages and that would get the job done.

    Andy,

You cannot 'attach' any files in MailChimp. My suggestion is to upload the pdf onto one of your websites and then create a hyperlink to it in your email to them.

That will open up a new window for them exactly the same as if you click on this link:
    Test Report.

You can attach files in MailChimp and here is how to do that:

    1. Write the file name in your message (e.g. Bonus Free Report).
    2. Select this text and click insert link button.
    3. Click on Link to: dropdown menu and select File.
    4. File Manager window will open. You can upload files here and select them to link from within your email.

This is technically not an attachment but I believe it serves your purpose.

You are welcome, Di I remember looking for the same thing long ago myself. And I was lazy to make an image tutorial, I hope the instructions are clear enough.
