Hello everyone, I am just new here. I will be doing internet marketing fulltime. Being a just a mere fetus in this area, I am just overwhelmed with so many affiliate marketing, products, offers, promises of profit out there. I know there are a lot of good programs. If you could just share with me where did you start and how, it would really help a lot.

As a beginner still my self, Even though I finally made money online. lol.

I believe that asking everyone for where the best place to start is an okay thing but your going to want to figure out what you want to do.

    -Make your own product
    -Be an affliate
    -CPA and PPC

    Things like that,

So once you figure out what you will want to do first then I think it's easier to move on from there.

    Just my opinion lol

    Thanks,

    Dylan

Hi bgucor! I'm also new and taking a look around. You're not the only one who's overwhelmed! Drop me a PM sometime if you like... us newbies gotta stick together.

I'm wondering how everyone got started, too. To the more experienced guys and gals around here: What do you know now that you wish you had known when you started?

What I know now that I wish I knew when I started? All that glitters is not gold - e-gold in this case. Left right or center there are shining objects being pushed in your face all claiming that they will make you money. You jump to the left and to the right, then back to the center to repeart the process = overwhelmed and IOS.

Befor you know it, you a totaly confused and don't know which way to turn, who to listen to and what product(s) to promote/sell.

All that glitters is not gold - find a niche, find a product for the niche, put a plan of action together and go for it. If it works, rinse and repeart while moving on to a new niche and if it doesn't then start again till you find the right one.

Trial and error is the best teacher but do it simultanious with multiple products then you are on a recipe for disaster and ultimate failure

    Hi bigucor,

My advice would be to pick one area of internet marketing that you feel most comfortable with, learn from a trusted source in that area, take action, and go from there.

Yes, I do suggest having your own site to start building yourself some respect =p.

Just getting yourself known or being to have your own unique Identity online.

I'm in the midst of doing this myself!

Having your own site will also help you build a list!

Just give something away for free and start getting emails to build a list!

Do you know what a auto responder is?

I don't know what the best is but I use www.Getresponse.com - Non referral link.

Also this forum is one of if not THE best place to get started.

Just make sure to use the "Search feature" if you have a question to get an answer quicker

Best of Luck and to BOTH of our success

Find your focus early and start optimizing your site and keywords, list on DMOZ and other directories. It will take you 6-8 months to get out of the sandbox for competitive keywords, and other listings take time. Start building your back links and social network.

zulfnor, thanks for the wise words! I've already noticed the sheer amount of information that's being crammed into the throats of any newbies who stand around gawping. It's definitely encouragement to actually start trying to make money rather than learning everyone and his uncle's method for doing so.

bgucor, no problem! I look forward to hearing from you. Right now I am doing it fulltime, though I'll be going to school in the fall. I'm hoping to have a fairly hands-off business up and running by that time.
