NameCheap, Moniker, GoDaddy etc. Which is Best Domain Name Registrar?

I use godaddy, name.com, and namecheap.

GoDaddy for first year, they are cheap for first year only specially with coupon codes and cash back ( you can get the domain as cheap as $1 )

NameCheap is my favorite on the long term.

Name.com only if i want a domain for pre-registration and they have it first, the company has been sucking when it comes to notify people their domain about to expire ( they simply never notify you, even if you asked them to ). This probably is changing now, not for any reason but the fact that they are required to do so

The one that offers the lowest price at the moment.

In DNForum.com they suggest that Moniker is best.

I consider to use Moniker too.

Do anyone have experience on using Moniker?

I've had nothing but bad experiences with Godaddy. Namecheap is my favorite registrar by far!

Abdullahkaragoz..Answer 2 questions? Ar you buying domains to flip, invest or develop? Are you buying 50/year or 5000/year?
If it is the former, not the latter, it makes little difference. GD is going to be, by far, for one year the cheapest...plus they have voice customer service.
If you have a large portfolio and are going to develop businesses for long term income, then take time to decide..reduce your list to 3-4 registrars and also ask on www.namepros.com for your answer.

If you are looking for overall services as you mentioned, all domain registrars do the same basic functions and have to follow the same basic rules.

One registrar may use a blue background and have 1 upsell and one registrar may have a yellow background with no upsells but have offers from other companies. But in the end it's all basically the same.

If one's interface is too busy or too lacking or too something it will probably be changed soon. If one's interface is nice and clean it may change into something worse too. If one has other things for sale besides the domain name you can bet others will too. If one has a fee if you let a domain expire past 20 days or so then you can bet others have one too. If one will shut you down for spamming then others probably will too.

Etc. Etc. Etc.

My point is to not spend too much time on this because in the end it's all about the same.

Another point is that no one can say which of all the domain registrars are absolutely the best unless they've tried them all. Most people that make blanket statements have NOT tried them all and so when they say XYZ is BEST, they really don't know what they are talking about.

I have registered several hundred domains with GoDaddy over the past 13 years and I have never had a an issue. I love the control panel and the quick transfer process. I also have 50 or so domains with Namecheap and I have had good service with them as well.

The companies I avoid like the plague for various reasons are Register.com, Network Solutions and 1&1.

I have been using Name.com for several years and their price is right, just under $10 and free privacy.
I like their management screens much better than any I have worked with.

Yahoo gets my vote. I've used 1&1 while i was taking a few college classes... no problems with them either.

I just had a good giggle. I wanted to see if NetworkSolutions has discounted their price from when they charged $35 a year for registrations. I added the name to the shopping cart & they have drastically dropped the price to "34.99". (By the way - dfgghd.com is available for registration)

Voted for namecheap but I have to admit that I still have a lot of domains on godaddy.

I don't use any of those listed. I did move all my domains away from GD in the last year.

Also, IMO 1&1 are straight-up thieves and should be avoided.

I used to use GoDaddy however I was registering a lot of throw away domains for various projects and found that Enom do reseller accounts. Paying a one-off fee for a reseller account at Enom means I can register domains for less.

I also like the Enom admin - it's straight forward and has some nice features. The ability to auto-charge my card for expiring domains means it's also a set and forget setup - perfect if you don't want the hassle of renewing names.

Godaddy works like a charm for me. Great pricing and huge deals. Name cheap is second on the list. The rest I haven't really used

They all are providing same stuff But what i noticed is if you try to register some good domain on namecheap then they redirect you to go daddy which means that Go Daddy is really leader

Godaddy has never let me down so I never had a reason to try anything else.

I used godaddy frequently but find especially with new extensions they price them at times 25-50% higher to buy from them.Example one they have I want is $45.00 at namecheap it's $27.

Godaddy domains were cheaper with coupon codes now they are on par with other registrars. So it's a matter of personal preference I think.

The "best" is subjective and based on personal experience. I've been using namecheap for many years now without any problems and no plans to change. I have over 50 domains so I get a discount, just under $10 per years and whois prot is just under $1 a year as well. Sooooo pleased they changed things to just automatically apply those discounts.

A good Godaddy reseller, same features, lower price (without rare coupons).
I still have 5000+ domains with Moniker and I wish I hadn't.

I prefer NameSilo.

worst worst worst ever is godaddy. I had 7 domains with them. one fine day they put 75$ penalty on me saying your domain is spamming. i had no clue. i tried to inquire more. they were stubborn and won't budge.

in one night i moved all the 7 domain to another domain provider. i will never do business with them.

Gradually moving domains from GoDaddy to NameCheap because I do not want to subsidize the GoDaddy advertizing expenses, and NameCheap is better. The position that GoDaddy took on Net Neutrality sucks.

GoDaddy transfers are cheaper than renewals. It makes no sense for me to remain as a GoDaddy customer. They are ripping me off with expensive renewals. Bye.

Namecheap hands down.

Beware of registrars who try to force you to add multiple items into your shopping cart during your purchase process. Be equally wary of registrars who have only one mode of renewing subscriptions for your domains - auto-renewal. Its always good to opt out of automatic renewal so that you don't pay for domains you no longer use.
