Squeeze and "free membership" pages and Paypal

What's with the free memebership and some other squeeze pages that ask for Paypal email so that they can "pay" me? Are these scams or just another new technique in Internet Marketing?

I came across one offering some free banner creation software, but I am wary of providing certain info they ask for.

This one is the Instant Banner Creator website. Looks legit, but then again... (call me paranoid)

When it's an Internet marketing or make money online type product, it's usually because they run an instant commission affiliate program.

They ask for your paypal email address (where people should send you money) so that they can pay you for sales.

You can set up a dedicated affiliate payment email within PayPal where you'll accept payments from merchants (and what you'll give out when you encounter these things...).

    Something like affiliatepayments@yourwebsite dot com

    Hope that helps,

    Brian
