Effective Marketing For Carpet Cleaning Website

Hello, I am new to this forum and was referred by someone that said I could get some really great tips on how to effectively market a website that deals with carpet cleaning. I have a website that needs to get on the first page of google for some very major keywords in the carpet cleaning niche.

Some of these keywords are very competitive and I would appreciate if you could point me in the right direction as to how someone can get on the first page. Thanks!

    Good luck with that.

There are 1000's of other website owners in your niche who want the same thing so I would not try to build this way.

You can hand out business cards, flyers, use pay per click, ask for referrals, etc.

I would start off trying to rank for local keywords first. Start with your city and branch out to other cities around you and so on and so forth. Local and long tail keywords can sometimes be easier to rank for.

Unless you plan on paying a professional to build your links and perform your SEO tasks for you. Even then there is no guarantee that you're website will even see the first 50 pages in Google for these big words. And this can sometimes take a bit of a budget to do.

Good luck my friend. Wish you success.

Agreed. You should also be able to get some affordable local clicks from AdWords.

I'd also start optimizing free online resources like Yelp to help increase your exposure.

I think you should probably go offline for this. Local advertising, flyers, door-hangers.

    Hello,

I think you should hire a SEO professional for indexing your homepage website.

I clicked the link in your signature, and it looks like you operate a local franchise of a national service. If so, SunnyD gave you some good advice - concentrate on local searches within your market area(s). If you're in Alabama, and someone in Bangor sees your search listing, what good does it do you?

You can also use social media like Facebook. Post a before/after photo, or a quick tip, then promote the post within your market area.

Here's another thought - does your market area see a lot of seasonal residents, aka 'snowbirds'? If so, targeting your SEO efforts on the areas most of the snowbirds come from. For example, here in my part of Florida, a lot of the seasonal residents come from New York, Massachusetts and Ohio. So I would write a tips post about opening the seasonal home and promote it in those areas.

If you have the resources, you might want to check out Joe Polish. He specializes in helping carpet cleaners market their services.

I'd try and just sell annual subscriptions that include X carpet cleanings per year. Maybe have 3 different subscription plans. Have a link underneath the plans that stands out less offering a one off carpet cleaning at a premium price. Let me know if that makes sense.

I will give you some easy and basic but effective tip on this.
I used for my friend's local business page,

1- To get your site on the first page of google
2- To get fast traffic to your site
    read bellow

1- To get your site on the first page of google

    Keyword research
Make sure you are targeting the right keywords

    Keyword placement
Make sure you put your keywords in the title and heading and 3 times inside the body of any article and in the footer search engines like this.

    Fresh content
Search engines like fresh content, that's why blogs are SEO friendly.

    Directory listings
Submit your site to relevant directories.

    Get writing
Write original content for your site, repurpose you content into articles and submit your articles to article directories for yet more exposure and links to your site.

    Get Social
Comment on blogs, answer questions in forums and join social networks like Twitter,

    Be consistent
If you want your site to climb in the search engine rankings you need to schedule regular SEO tasks and make them part of your routine.

2- To get fast traffic to your site

First, you need to create a Facebook page for your site and create some posts about your site.
Join local advertising facebook groups in your city area, Join as many groups as you can but be careful >> don't join more than 10 groups every hour.

Once you got accepted for many groups, try to reach 100 groups, you can reach this in 3 days max.

Start posting on this groups on daily basis, post on 10 groups every hour as max, you can create pre-pared text ads on your desktop then copy and paste in in 10 groups and repeat this after one hour.

On your page try to post some related information about your topic, you can google it or search ezine articles to get some good articles about it
Also, find some good videos on youtube (short videos) and post it to your page.

Act with other people pages and groups, like, comment and share

As much as you communicate with your friends on page you will get more exposure to your link from Facebook

I would recommend that you start with Yellow Pages to collect the necessary business leads for local businesses within your area to offer them your services as well. Ace, this is the third post in a row where You've pasted in the same promo for your YP scraper (in your sig).

Might want to slow your roll, or start seeing your posts get deleted for being too promotional...

Johnny why is it any of your concern? You seem to be a hater or something. As long as I'm leaving value, there was no specific rule or sticky messages saying that I had a specific limit. So why don't you mind your own business brother? Thanks.

You sent a similar message via PM, and I answered it.

You got any more complaints about me, take it up with the powers that be. I'm not going to derail this thread by getting in a public pissing match with you.

I have been doing local citation building for carpet cleaning, air conditioning, garage door repair businesses since 2012. What I have seen from the company whom I work with is local directory submissions, one of their marketing tactics.
    • First of all learn how to select keywords based on location for your business.
    • Just after that go and create local google page.
    • Try to build structured citations first.
    • Go after unstructured citations.
    • Target market top local data aggregators.

That's small input from my side.
