I have 4 websites - Want to overhaul completely - Need Help

Hi all,

I need your expertise/help.

In January 2014 I registered and populated a few exact match domain websites, monetized for Adsense.

Now, I would like to completely replace all the content thereon with high quality content. I'm also not going to monetize these sites with Adsense anymore.

Can I do it and what will the impact be on these websites?
Please advise how to go about with this?

Thanking you all in advance for your insights.

    Hi there

Have you been earning any adsense commison with them?
Is the content on them now, not quality content?
How do you plan to monitize your sites?

    regards

      Thanks.

      (1) Have not even earn 5 bucks in total.
      (2) No, the sites consists of a Home page + articles posted Article Builder (3x per day).
      (3) I'm planning to monetize with CPA & Clickbank products.

So it seems to me that your site is not even getting traffic from the search engines. Is that true?

Start over fresh. Concentrate on just one site until you have it earning.

First, I would check that the site (and any individual pages) have not been deindexed by Google already. If they have, forget it. Too much trouble and a long road back, imo.

If nothing has been penalized, then just get rid of all the content, get rid of any sitemap you've submitted to Google, and post quality content, then resubmit a new sitemap.

I wouldn't just get rid of the content on the pages/posts, but delete the posts and pages completely. If you have some that are ranked, then use 301 redirects to point to new posts and pages with the new material (there is a plugin called Simple 301 Redirects, that you can use).

You might need to disavow any crappy backlinks you have pointing to the site/pages also, using Webmaster Tools.

That's what I would do, but maybe some "overhaul experts" will pipe in here with some other advice.

Thanks very much for your insights Joan.
It makes perfect sense what you're sharing with me.

If your planning on earning with Clickbank and CPA, then you will want to ideally build a emailing list with a blog behind them.

You will need to provide good quality unique content and also offer a free gift in exchange for their email address.

If you start again with unique content on your blog, then as long as you have not done anything silly with regards to backlinks and so on, then your blogs could start to see more traffic eventually.

You could also drive traffic to your blog and squeeze pages through other methods aswell..

    Good luck

Ditch them bud, long exact match domains are no good anymore and look spammy. Start from scratch with one site. Follow a plan until it works and then make more sites after if you want.

I was thinking about doing just that because of the long exact match domains I have.

      Thanks for the help.

I would start again. Try and sell the old sites to give you some cash to start fresh. It is quite easy to get a good domain name (use .com only) with a little bit of playing around in a domain registrar. Namecheap has recently added suggestions to its name searches and occasionally they throw up a good name or at least give you some ideas to try.

Buy the perfect domain name for your website.
