What are the most effective marketing tools when first starting your company

Hey Folks,

I'm going to throw a lot out there at once. I run two small companies one being a hosting company and another being a digital design company. I'm just getting started and having trouble getting leads for the design company and getting sales for the hosting company. I've dabbled in Adwords but as most of you know the competitions level for something like this is just off the charts. I'm working with an extremely low budget since I'm just getting started. What have you guys found to be the most effective way to get the clients in and converting them. I feel like I'm withering away and the bank account is not looking good. Let me know your thoughts.

    Hi there

You could run a WSO for your hosting and digital design company..

I see a lot of WSO doing quite well in there, if the offer is a good one..

Good call on the Fiverr. I'm going to check into it and possibly start an account. I love when you find sites you never even thought about.

Just seen the WSO forum after starting my account. Just need to get everything ready for it! Definitely a good idea.

You are doing 2 businesses, instead of one, which makes focusing and driving traffic harder, my suggestion get one going up and going 1st then start the 2nd business ;>)

Since you are low on funds to do paid ads, you will have to get some free traffic:

    1) Seo could be useful if your design business is locally based will be easier to rank once you know what to do on a local level, so if you do not know anything about seo and your business is locally based where you live at, then pay someone to do it for you, hire a seo coach like I did 6 years ago, pick up a seo book and study it, for quicker results I would hire a SEO COACH rather then taking a course, but if that is not an option then the course would be fine, but the problem with the seo course you do not have anyone to ask questions to when you get stuck and confused on something

    2) Write articles...submit them to article directories and pointing back to your site

    3) Forum marketing - hang out in forums like this and answer questions with your signature link which points to a website at the bottom of your post when you answer questions

AdWords is very expensive, Facebook ads is getting expensive too.

    I'd try:
    solo ads
buy sticky posts from related forums.

Since your budget is low - For Hosting - Get Affiliates!

I know a few guys that have done well with that model. (6-7 figure)

For designs, I agree with @blueclcl . Run a wso, see how it goes and expand from there into other forums.
