Best source to learn online advertising campaigns.

We recently upgraded our product line after having what I would consider "better than anticipated" first year in business. We sell physical products. I have not spent one dime on advertising yet. My biggest goal for 2014 is to learn how to advertise on Google (adsense, shopping), Bing. We also want to start selling the product on Amazon so I probably need to know Amazon advertising. Can anyone recommend program or person (with proven track record) for selling physical products? Thanks in advance.

Back in the day I had a cognitive supplement called HardWired and even earned a meeting with GNC.

They laughed me out of the meeting when I couldn't show any sales because I thought that's why I needed my product in GNC

Anyhow, I was young and naive. The result was a push to learn SEO.

    1. I'm a huge fan of a "pull-push" strategy. Put your products on Amazon because Amazon carries a LOT of Google authority, making your inner pages RIDICULOUSLY easy to rank.

    2. Rank your Amazon product selling pages for a number of commercial intent long tail keywords to generate a trickle of sales (hey, it's a start).

    3. Simultaneously start a blog on your product's niche. Make the content interesting and unique.

    4. Install a remarketing cookie script on your blog. I have a personal favorite.

    5. Promote your blog on highly respected and trafficked publications relevant to your niche or all out gorillas like Mashable (easily done via Audience Bloom). The benefit is two fold: 1) You get a relevant high powered link that boosts your own SEO and 2) you get a TON of traffic because these pieces rank in their own right. This traffic gets cookied by your blog and tracked across the web.

    6. Promote your product on this blog--make more sales

    7. Configure your remarketing provider's software to optimize for sales conversions on your website and click through conversions on your banner advertisements on your blog.

    8. Use the profiles built by the software for cheap precision retargeting...like 15-40 cents/click cheap: now you can infinitely scale your sales.

    9. If using Click Certain, you can have the system show your banner ads across 98% of the web ONLY to people who EXACTLY match your target conversion profile....now you aren't beholden to SEO traffic and are truly unchained to scale as high as you want to go.

    10. Sell company, buy yacht, brag, repeat.

haha nice video. Ton of information there. Thank you. I will look into click certain. Would you also pay for straight up traffic via google shopping or bing? My products are actually female oriented so I am leaning on giving bing a shot since its more heavily used by females.
