Squeeze Page Conversions - When to Ramp Up Traffic?

I'm currently in testing mode and my best squeeze pages are converting around 15%.

At what point would you guys start ramping up traffic?

15% CTR is a good conversion rate for an opt-in form. Do some maths, if you pay 10 cents per visitor to your squeeze page you will end up paying 100$ for 1000 targeted visitors. if you make 150 of them to signup to your email list. By sending several emails to that email list you can at least make 5-10 of them to buy something that you offer. If you sell a product with 20$ and you have 10 sales then you can make a profit. Depending a lot of what is the price range of products you sell, how committed are to you, if they are buyers or not.

Do you mean the squeeze pages are converting at 15% as in getting them on your list or turning them into sales? If you mean the latter than it's probably good. If you mean 15% as getting them on your list, that's way too low. 40-60% is a good number to hit.

Well once you've exhausted all the means to optimise your page and you're confident you can keep this margin

If you mean 15% by 15% of people clicking through to your ad then that is great. If you mean 15% of people who land on the page opt-in then that is far too low. I normally get somewhere between 40-60%.

If not a lot of people opt-in when they are on the page, then reduce what is on the page so that there are fewer distractions. You only want the customer to opt-in right? Not to look at fancy pictures and then click away!

Also before you ramp up the traffic, check that the audience you are targeting won't be exhausted. If you are doing Facebook ads and have an audience of 20K people, and you are at 18K reach, then you will need a new audience soon!

Sounds like you are along the right lines with it though. Good luck!

15% is a good signup rate to start with, but make sure your split testing before you start sending more traffic. This will enable you to continue to increase your sign up rates at a dramatic pace. Don't just settle.

Whenever the R.O.I. is 'in the green'

Doesn't matter to me if a squeeze is performing at 5% or 95%...

If I am making profit from subscribers coming in...

    I let the traffic flowwwwwwwwwwww

Hey meepmeep (cool name btw.. roadrunner?)

In my experience, an 10-15 opt-in rate is pretty low. (It not a bad sales conversion rate)

However, I think it depends on the source of your traffic, how much you pay, and profit you make on your back end offer.

If you can get traffic for a few cents a click.. then I guess it's fine.

I typically use solo ads for traffic, and usually in the .30 per click range and sometimes a bit higher.

I always look for at least a 40% optin rate from my solo ads, and I monetize giveaway with OTO to defray the costs or to make a small profit as I build my list.

I don't scale the traffic from an individual source until I have already done 40% or better with a reasonable sized solo.. 200 clicks or so.

If I was only getting a 15% at those costs, I'd be struggling.

So it's a complex issues, because as I say it depends on your costs, and also your back end sales.

If you're making a decent profit based on 10-15% then scale it up. But if not, I'd be trying some alternate squeeze page headlines, images etc.

    Hi,

    1. Measure your numbers THROUGH the SALES made after someone opts into
    your list VS...

    2. HOW MUCH you pay for traffic.

    3. Have you broken even?

    4. Have you made a profit?

    5. Are you down on your investment?

Some people are happy at a slight LOSS because they know that they
can make a profit at the BACK END of their business.

Use some A/B split testing tools to EXAMINE your numbers closely and
start small with what you invest into your traffic.

Then when you've OPTIMIZED your system enough for it to be making
you a profit that's when YOU SCALE UP!
