I see your little " A Freelancer Company" logo up there in the corner :p

I like that you guys are putting your own touches on the forum, but I didn't know WF was a company :p

"part of the Freelancer family" or " A Freelancer community" would have sounded great IMHO
#a freelancer company #cornerp #logo

I think so, I hope it doesn't lose too much of that community feel

I agree, it should really be changed to "A freelance community/family..with being branded a company it kinda loses it's community spirit.

It's a standard slogan applicable for all of their assets. I don't think this worth a discussion.

Thanks for schooling us on slogans and where they apply

The discussion is about not losing the community feel

Communities are made up of people ... not logos. They're not going to change their company brand for WF. It's silly to think they would.

Well I think it has been a company for a long time, one that sold products (ads, War Room memberships, WSO fees).. In fact Id say it was a company that was valued at oh .. IDK .. lets say $3,200,000 or so

Here I was... headed here to say the same. Couldn't have said it better myself though. Well said.

Alex, you're a smart dude. I get your concern for the "community feel" but you bet your ass this has been a company all along. There's no way IT COULDNT have been.

Anyone with any business acumen anderstsnds that (and I know Alex Blades is one if those members here with a lot of it).

Niw as for the "community feel thing", that's a discussion worth having and it sounds like that's what Alex meant.

You would have known that if you had read the Terms of Use when you registered an account here

Lol, don't think I've ever read a terms of conditions page

I've always known it was a company, or LLC at the very least, it sure as heck didn't feel like though. Now I see why everyone says Allen went out of his way to keep it a community, when he could have chase more profit

Yeah, if all it takes is that logo to ruin the community feel then WF was doomed from the start.
I don't have a problem with the logo, I was just making a suggestion, that's all. It will take more than a logo to ruin the community feel, so we'll just have to wait to see how the transition goes

      My gosh yes.

I love seeing good business practices put into motion and yep - if it's part of Freelancer, you make sure that's up front and obvious!

      Good job, IMO.

What they should have done is make that origami bird part of their logo animated and fly across the screen every 3 minutes.

Then when someone starts a thread about that annoying bird and everyone chimes in...

The admin could come on the thread and say "we are taking everyone's feedback and have decided to just put our logo in the upper right hand corner."
