It depends on how the other blog has their comment system set up. Many times there are 4 fields- your Name, Email, Website and then your comment.

Some blogs though, in order to reduce spam, use stuff like Disqus which makes it a little different.

Blogs usually require you to leave a comment - make it relevant to the blog you are visiting - and that's where you can add your details, which are your name, email address and website URL.

Most blogs as stated when you sign up to post, have the required fields of the name you want the post under (but don't post something like mywebsite.com as your username), email (some sites require you to validate email) and then optional field like your website. It'll turn your username into a hyperlink & folks can visit your site.

Most Blogs have a section where you enter your website. Do not enter your Website Link in the comments section because the blog owner will delete it as spam. Make sure to make some constructive and relevant comment in the comments section

You're putting the cart before the horse here. You have to take time to actually read the article and understand what's being said before you even consider leaving a comment. And, never comment on a blog article unless you can actually continue the conversation in some meaningful way. Don't just comment with 'Thanks' or 'Good job!' or 'Very useful!' as these comments don't help the blog author in any way or add to the conversation and are more likely to get deleted.

As for technical details that you should include in the blog fields, of course, you should include your name and maybe even yourname@yoursite name. This is allowed on many blogs, just be sure to check out how others who's comments are already published have done it. Don't be a rebel and try to spam keywords on the name form. Simply leaving your name or site name is better than keyword spamming and then having your comment hit the moderation or spam queue.

Most importantly, don't just comment once and run off. Bookmark that blog and come back to comment regularly. In this way, the blog author will see you are not just a spam link dropper and will more likely publish your comments along with your backlink every time you drop by to post.

    Here is the solution:

When commenting on other blogs, ONLY leave a comment if you have something valuable to contribute.

Do NOT under any circumstances post a comment just for the sake of leaving a link to your site and getting noticed.

Your comment will get deleted if you do such a thing.

The best criteria for this situation is to ask yourself, "Would I read this article and leave a comment, even if the backlink were not allowed?" And, if you can answer yes, then you should proceed as that article is relevant to you. And, while you might not get as many backlinks, the ones you get will be from higher quality blogs that have really good content and those backlinks will mean far more in terms of SEO than a massive list of only slightly relevant backlinks.
